Coming To Pokémon GO This August


Ultra Unlock Part 3 and more questions than answers. All this and more coming next month.

With Pokémon GO Fest 2021 behind us, we look to August to give us even more fun. Look forward to new Spotlight hours every Tuesday and Raid Hours every Wednesday. The conclusion to the Ultra Unlock that was earned during GO Fest will also take place.
This event runs from August 1st, 2021 at 1 p.m. PDT, to September 1st, 2020 at 1 p.m. PDT. So let’s get into it and see what the eighth month has in store for you.

Weekly Bonuses

Complete a Field Research task every day for a seven days will get you a particularly uncommon Pokémon. Chimecho will be featured this month. Be sure to get as many as you can, and Pinap it, as this Pokémon doesn’t spawn all that often. You will also receive double XP for opening the Research Box as part of the Season of Discovery.

Once per week, you can purchase a box in the shop for one PokéCoin. This box will contain a Remote Raid Pass among other useful items.

Look forward to a BONUS Raid hour with an undisclosed Pokémon on Monday August 30th at the usual time 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

I have been covering the monthly events for a while now, and never has there been so much mystery and intrigue, I can’t wait to see what Niantic has in store for us.

I’m looking forward to some regional variants and what is yet to be announced this month. As usual, Niantic, has a busy month planned for us and I hope you are ready to get out this summer and enjoy some local sights while playing Pokémon GO with friends or family.
