We don't really decorate for Halloween around here, though. Some people do, and they're really darn impressive at it. If I had my own house and money was no issue, I'd go nuts with it.

So, question, I think I just found one of my oldest online friends on Facebook. Most everything matches up, but I'm still not sure it's her and I don't know how'd she'd feel if she knew I had found her. Suggestions?

Maybe ask her if she's the person you're thinking she is. That way you know for sure and it serves as a safe way to catch up with her again if it is.

I've reconnected with really old friends on Facebook. I'm quite sure she'd remember who you are.

See, I want to. Thing is I have a lot I'll have to spend in this case if so.

List of things beforehand I'll need:

-New glasses and a backup pair
-New cellphone (mine loses charge way too fast. It loses charge while charging and loses charge while it loses charge. It'll be at 88% one moment. Then at 26% the next).
-Carrying case for my laptop
-A new camera (for those really HQ picture to save)
-A new extra suitcase to carry all the extra goodies I find back (I think I'll fit one suitcase in the other if possible to save money on the luggage the first time :p)

And finally
-money. For the first time I'll be taking a big trip alone. Outside the country no less. It'll feel really strange at first, but it's gonna happen one day anyway. I'll have to pull money out I'm sure (not sure if my cards would work over there even on a Navy base). It's a lot to take in and think about

Out of those, the most imperative are new and extra glasses (and carrying cases. Hard cover for protection). A new cellphone and a carrying case for my laptop. Cause I know my friend over there will want me to have it. He wants to show me the Final Fantasy Cafe there and doesn't want me feeling out of place xD. Plus while he's on duty I'll be stuck doing things alone anyway. Yeah though, my eyesight is terrible without my glasses. If something happened to them on the trip if not only be screwed on seeing anything. It'd make me spending that kind of money on a trip a waste and make the trip back that much harder. Phone wise for quick pictures of course.

If I go, plan to see some picture and videos here. I'll get some interesting ones. Of course I'm gonna go to the Pokemon Center. Be sure to see those. That means pictures with a Pikachu =D (and maaaaaaaybe I'll pick up something for you guys. If you ask nicely ;) )

But yeah. It's a lot to think about and take in. So it's really hard to decide in just a little over two weeks time.

Yeeaaahhh, that's a lot of stuff. With your cellphone, have the store check out the battery first. You may just need a new battery or it may be apps on your phone that are hogging all the juice. My dad had the same issue and they were able to figure out what was sucking up all the battery power out of it.

I think your credit cards will work, since my USA cards worked just fine in France and Belgium, but you could call up your credit card company and just ask. You need to make them aware you'll be using them in another international country anyway so they don't lock up your cards thinking they were stolen.

Nope, no instagram. Never really had the need for it. :P
