I disagree. I HATE mosquitoes to the point where I could almost have an irrational fear of them. I'd rather a paper cut over a mosquito bite any day. xD They're such creepy freaking little scumbags... D: I do hate paper cuts though, but I live with a derpy cat who loves to scratch me while playing so I'm used to small, stinging open wounds. xD

If there's a mozzie in my room at night and I hear her stupid little dumb wings going "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeee" by my head, I HAVE to get up and turn on the light and hunt her down AND KILL HER. Mozzies are the only thing I'll happily kill. Give me a spider over a mozzie any day (not on me) and I'll happily take it outside. Mosquito? YOU'RE DEAD.

Oh, definitely not. And it doesn't help that mosquitoes are frigging everywhere. And yet most people are more afraid of the comparatively much more harmless spiders, despite the fact that they keep the actual pests in check.

I don't love spiders but I usually don't bother them unless they're in my space. I'm more afraid of palmetto bugs.

Yeah, West Nile, Malaria, and Zika definitely don't sound like a menu of fun.

I think people fear spiders for the fact that they're kind of creepy. The way they watch from the shadows, trap insects and devour their blood, drop down unexpectedly, and have eight legs and eight eyes is a bit unsettling, but yeah, they do help a lot with pest control. Although I have seen what a bite from a brown recluse and a black widow can do and it sure as frick isn't pretty.

One time I found a huge wolf spider in my house and I was vacuuming and I just kind of stared at it and then sucked it up with the vacuum.

Yeah, I had to use the vacuum to suck up a wasp just yesterday. It was on the living room curtain, so swatting it with a magazine wasn't really an option. Meanwhile, the vacuum was in the same room already, so problem solved.
