It's been a long time since I have been now, but I went to a Methodist church since I was young. Yeah I always found it boring. Most the people there were older folks too (wow I've never said folks before). I'm talking 70+. Their kids bring their kids. So we had a few other, but it slowly died out more and more with "my" generation. The other still go, but most of those around my age either stopped going or go to another now. Switched to Baptist or Catholic.
I know one big controversy was my grandparents when I was born push my parents to have me "sprinkled" with water instead of being dunked as an baby. So me, my brother, and sister all were "sprinkled" as babies for being baptized. I'd still like to be dunked someday now though now that I'm older. Feel it's more appropriate. So that's one thing vs other churches. Depending on Methodist, Catholic, or whatnot. They have different value or opinions on those kind of things. Even something like being baptized.
