Yeah I'm trying mostly for work experience but also to have some money to spend and put towards tuition and such.

The first one was great, was fun to write, and it didn't take itself too seriously, but this one just hasn't been working the way I wanted it to at all.

If I were to start something new, it would be in a setting that feels like Borderlands and Mad Max in style, but has fantasy themes tied in, such as magic, different races, and that kind of thing. The general theme behind it would be that people, despite obvious differences and previous misgivings about each other, need to set those aside and work together if they want to win. I'm still playing around with the ideas, though.
Well I finished the story I was working on last night and it turned out quite well in my opinion. Originally an entire solar system was going to be destroyed and I had a major plot hole as to why a being of mass amounts of power was following the orders of a semi-normal human. In this version, only a few people died and I fixed that plot hole plus left it somewhat open for potential usage in a future story.

Now I'm working on rewriting the origin story of one of my characters. I didn't really like the way it was going originally, and schematically it just didn't work. Plus I didn't really like the direction it was headed and I was forcing myself to write it. So I'm restarting it with a somewhat different direction. I'm a little disappointed because the way the timeline works, the guy is just short of the big cholera outbreaks in London, but he has to die by 1888 and I want him to die when he's 21 which means he has to be born in 1867. Either way, cholera still would have been an issue because it wasn't until 1902 that London took over all the water sources.
