Well I just found out one of the people who greatly influenced my progression as a writer passed away last night. I never did get to give him a copy of my book either. Kind of upset. Very upset actually.

Meh, that really sucks. I'm sorry to hear that... ;_;

Yeah, I still haven't found an agent willing to represent my manuscript either. I also got two more rejection letters I need to make paper cranes out of. I usually end up running into the issue where after I do all the job searching I'm able to stomach for the week, I'm usually too tired to try doing manuscript submissions. The process of resume submission and manuscript submission is so painfully alike.

It's another reason why I so badly want a job. I'm just sooooo sick of looking for one that it would be nice to finally take a break from it.

Yeah I mean, we all sort of new it was coming. He was one of the people who got me into debating more as well and I had him for AP Lang my junior year of high school. I was supposed to have him for AP Lit but he unexpectedly retired. It came out months later he had been diagnosed with cancer (Pancreatic I think but don't hold me to that). They did very well in keeping his status on the down low though so none of us really knew anything. According to the lady who told me (another very influential figure in my life), he apparently went into a coma about a week ago and never woke up. Oddly enough, as sad as I am about his passing, it really just makes me want to right so much more. Sadly I have to study for a test otherwise I'd be writing so many stories right now.

I think that's the best motivation to take. Write more. Fight time by making something legendary that will live on even beyond you. You've already gone further than most people have, so use that as encouragement to keep walking the path. :)
