OOC: Fell a bit behind, sorry about that. Rather than rehash everything, I'll just quickly fast forward to the current point.

Magnum truly didn't care about getting lectured for his lack of patience. To him, this was a matter of wasting time, which, while not as aggravating to him as mission failure, was still frustrating. It was one thing to wait for a window of opportunity to open, but it was quite another to have to be delayed out of another person's tardiness.

At the same time, Zilch, fed up with the whole ordeal, took the attitude that if anything happened because Team Lockdown was away and stuck in this meeting, she refused to be blamed for it. She already had intentions of taking the rest of the day off if her superiors supported slacking.

The situation changed when the misty shadow had emerged and formed within the room.

"Legendary," Yuko hissed. "Dark type."

"Strike it dead, then!" Magnum shouted.

All kinds of attack attempts were made against the shadow, whose true form could not yet be grasped. In the combative chaos, the shadow had survived, but sounded exhausted. The shadow, Darkrai, had lashed out against the Pokémon in the room, and to Magnum's surprise, had claimed he was there out of desire for a mission.

"You're driveling mad," Magnum told Darkrai while on his guard, figuring he would at least enjoy harassing the creature before snuffing his lights out. "You and your filthy compatriots started this madness, but don't for a moment think it'll end the way you intended it would."

Apex the Emolga had watched Darkrai very closely. While the flying squirrel couldn't peer into Darkrai's mind, he was able to anticipate what his next move would be just on his composure, behavior, and stance.

"Target is in D.S." Apex told his squad leader. "Status is N.C. and O.G."

To everyone else in the room, save for Team Lockdown, the Emolga's acronyms were cryptic and could mean anything, but to Team Lockdown, they immediately became aware of the situation thanks to the code-speaking they had all become accustomed to.

"It doesn't make sense..." Magnum hissed, still ready to fight and stand his ground.

But from experience, Magnum noticed the Emolga's report was accurate and matched previous similar confrontations. Meanwhile, Sledge was almost thankful upon hearing the Emogla's observations and was glad Apex didn't let bias cloud his judgment of the situation.

"I don't care," Zilch growled, licking her lips. "There's heaps of us and only one of him! What the hell are we waiting for? If he kills anyone here, that's our fault for giving him that opportunity!"

It was a difficult situation and wasn't something Team Lockdown had faced before. However, in this situation, Magnum was not the commanding officer. If he had been, he would have ordered Darkrai's termination without a second thought, but with Crownless and Yuko in the room, he couldn't make a move unless they confirmed it.

But the whole time, he was truly hoping they would...
