I find it pretty hard to believe that Al Khan came up with the name "Pokemon", mainly because it seems pretty suspicious that he'd wait two whopping decades to reveal this. And coincidentally at a time when Pokemon appears to be approaching the level of popularity that it had during the 90s and a bit of early 2000s. Hmmmm...

Also, yeah, saying that you wanted to make the name sound "more Japanese-y" when your former company was infamous for making anime as un-Japanese-y as possible... yeah, those claims don't exactly hold up very well...
