Hey guys. Just wondering if there are any Bleach fans around here? Well, if you are one, this is the place to discuss it!
How about favourite characters? Mine are:
-Shinji Hirako
-Grimjoww Jeagerjaques
-Ichigo Kurosaki
Yours? c:
Hehe, I'm notorious for being a huge Bleach fan...apparently I'm one of the few people who jumped on the bandwagon and seems to be staying on for the whole ride. XD Everyone else I know gave up on reading it to the end.
I'm a huge fan of Orihime and Ulquiorra myself. XD
I was watching the anime and then got lost. Um.
I like Grimmjow, but I also like...Aaaagh, what's his name with the white and green striped hat. He's so mysterious but also, not serious XD And then when he does get serious you're like "ohshBAM".
Also there was a cat named Kami or something. One episode. BUT I LOVED IT.
Made by the awesome X-Kun~
By cat do you mean Yoruichi?
Also BLEACH FANS UNITE! HOPE FOR THE ANIME TO BEGIN AGAIN!
As for Favorite Characters:
Ulquiorra (because Black Finger Laser by name of Cero Oscuras. Also 2 Resurrecions.)
Stark (because Laser Machine Gun)
Haribel (because only female repping the Espada)
Nelliel Tu Oderschvank (i think I spelled it right. Also because she's freaking hilarious.)
Renji has his shining moments of funny too :D
Well Kon's been around much longer than a single episode, so I don't know what she means then.
And I'll admit the manga is okay and all, but I do like a good animated expansion of it. Adding a bit of movement and action and stuff...
I could probably get into bleach, but it just didn't give me any instant gratification when I was watching it and lost interest...
If you're a Bleach fan, I know you're like, "that sucks," and I'm sorry. xD
Buuuut I have actually started watching it pretty regularly with my cousin being over at my place all summer... I really like the old Aizen with the glasses and the bangs. He has one of the best looks in all of anime. But when Aizen just gets killed by Ichigo in just a couple of episodes, and Ichigo's expression stays basically the same throughout the fight, Ichigo steals all the fandom. ^_^;;
Animated is okay, but fillers annoy me and I don't really like sitting down and watching TV very often... If you read the manga you realize that certain filler arcs could have been done without and you wonder why they were done at all, and it's just generally frustrating. The manga you can plow through without fillers and everything makes sense...and you don't have and extra chicken, turtle, and rabbit running around for no real reason. And fights don't get cut off in the middle and continued after the application of Mr. H's parallel universe theory gets for a whole pointless arc that gets shoved in the middle of said fight before they refocus and go back to the actual plot and which no one remembers a thing about later... For instance I've been told that after his arc, Shusuke Amagai never gets mentioned again.
Well the thing about fillers is that they are meant to stall the anime so that the manga gets further ahead and thus the animators can get some more material to animate the legitimate story. Else you get what happened to the original Fullmetal Alchemist where the anime completely tangents from the manga and develops its own storyline (leaving the Fullmetal Alchemist manga reader with a serious wtf) or the anime gets cancelled for an undetermined amount of time in order to allow the manga to get months of chapters ahead so that the anime can start animating the real storyline again. One could argue that the purpose of the Naruto anime fillers was this, but of course the amount of fillers got amazingly ridiculous to those of us who read the manga AND watch the anime (i.e. me).
Then again there's always the fundraising for movies that are based on the series, specials to commemorate holidays, fanbase building for whatever-the-hell reason, etc. It's not like the filler animators actually care what happens in the filler storylines anyway. Kubo doesn't for sure.
