CHAPTER 10: Unexpected Run In!
Petey laid in bed after with his arm over his face,he had missed his morning workout having flown home late the night before. He rubbed his face hearing footsteps coming down the hall and into his bedroom. A moment later his son popped up onto the bed and crawled over to the side of the bed with a big smile on his face.
“Good morning Jackson.”
“Morning Daddy.”
The small boy sat on the bed before moving closer and laying his head on Daddy’s chest. Petey couldn’t help but to smile and wrap his arm around his son, hugging him. He always missed his son when he had to leave to go work for TNA. But it made times like this even better. After a few minutes Jack sat up and looked down at Daddy noticing there was something wrong. Daddy was still in bed at this time of the morning. He reached up to feel Daddy’s forehead as Petey couldn’t help but to laugh.
“What are you doing Jack?”
“You’re not sick are you Daddy?”
“No why?”
“Cause you’re not stinky and you’re still in bed.”
Jack sat there on the bed with his arms crossed over his chest as he looked at Daddy. He knew by this time breakfast was made. Petey had been caught skipping his morning workout.
“I’m alright Jackson promise. I just got home late from the airport this morning and needed to get some sleep before going to the gym.”
Jack nodded his head as he seemed to understand.
“Can I go to work with you...please?”
“I don’t see why not. I don’t have very many clients today.”
“YAAAAAA!”
Jack squealed as he jumped up and down on the bed as Petey laughed. Petey finally climbed out of bed as he stretched and turned to look at his son who was still on the bed. He held his arms out as Jack jumped from the bed into Daddy’s arms.
“Get dressed and I’ll make us breakfast before we go.”
“Kay.”
Petey put his son down as Jack went tearing down the hall and into his bedroom to get dressed. Petey did the same as he got dressed and made his way into the kitchen to start making breakfast. A moment or so later Jack made his way down and climbed up onto the stool and sat at the counter watching Daddy.
***
Clair had done her homework most of the night and tried to find a good gym with classes they could go to. She made her way down the hall to see Molly still in bed as she stood there with her hands on her hips.
"I'm up....I'm up."
Molly slowly dragged herself out of bed and trudged into the bathroom to get herself ready. She looked into the mirror and knew she had work to do to hide the marks on her face from her little cat fight in the ring with Ajay. She did her make up which took her about a half hour to do as she looked at herself in the mirror and inspected every spot. She quickly did her hair and made sure it was off of her neck before walking back out into her bedroom and got dressed.
"Come on Molly we're going to be late."
Molly laughed at herself and grabbed her purse before making her way down the hall. Clair was already standing in the living room looking impatient as ever.
“Sorry I wanted to make sure I had all of the marks on my face covered up before going out into public.”
“Fair enough now come on before we’re late.”
The two made their way out to the car as Clair drove them to the gym as she looked for a parking space. Once she did she parked the car and grabbed their things and made their way into the gym. It seemed like a very nice gym to be at and not the stinky, smelly and dirty kind. They made their way through the gym as Molly was far too busy looking around that she failed to see where she was going until she ran right into someone. She stumbled back and landed on her butt as the person she ran into turned around to see what had happened much to both of their surprises.
“Molly?”
“Pierre?”
He reached a hand out as she took it after a moment and was pulled back to her feet. They both look surprised to see the other but who was more surprised was the question.
“Sorry I wasn’t looking where I was walking and ran right into you.”
“No don’t worry about it you’re fine. What are you doing here?”
“Well while I’m on my suspension Clair thought it would be fun if we did a yoga class together and she did all the research last night and found this place. What about you? I mean it seems like a silly question to even ask.”
“I work here as a personal trainer.”
“Should have known that was silly of me to ask.”
Clair couldn't help but to run her eyes over the short Canadian wondering if this was the cute guy Molly had been talking about. If it was then she was right he was damn good looking.
"Pierre this is my best friend Clair, Clair this is Pierre."
"Very nice to meet you Clair."
"You too. Molly has been bragging about you since she got home last night."
The two shook hands as Molly could help but to turn a bright red with what Clair was saying. Oh was she ever going to give Clair hell when they got home for what she was doing. Molly kept her gaze down as he cheeks were still red with embarrassment. Molly then reached up and tugged on Clair’s arm to pull her away from Pierre.
“Come on Clair we’ll be late for our class. You can babble later.”
Molly dragged her friend away still embarrassed as ever as they said their goodbyes for the time being. The two walked into the class and sat their things down against the wall.
"Can't believe you did that."
"What?"
"Don't what me. You were falling all over him."
"Says the one who ran right into him. And plus it's kinda hard not to with as good looking as he is."
Molly waved her hand at Clair and shook her head. They started the class as Molly couldn't help but to keep her eyes on Petey from where she was. Clair leaned over and nudged her out of her thoughts.
"Hey pay attention."
Clair whispered enough to where it snapped Molly out of her thoughts and go back to the class. Though she couldn't help but to stare at Petey from time to time while they were still doing the class. Clair would look at her friend and couldn't help but to roll her eyes at her.
"I can't help it."
The class was finally over with and the two sat against the wall relaxing. Clair had taken a drink from her water bottle as she noticed Molly still had her attention on Petey who was with a client. She got up and grabbed something out of her purse before walking out of the room and up to the front desk when she noticed the young boy sitting behind the desk.
"Well I take it you're the boss around here."
The small boy grinned big at the lady and nodded crossing his arms over his chest. Petey had finished with his client and walked over to the desk to see what was going on once he heard Jack talk.
"I'm the big boss man here."
"Oh really Jackson."
Jack couldn't help but to giggle as did Molly.
"Is this your son Pierre?"
"He is. I let him come along on days I don't have very many clients. Jack this is Molly."
"He is a handsome little guy."
"Thank you Ms. Molly."
She showed a smile but deep down she felt like she had no chance with Petey. If he had a son that could only mean that he was married. Petey had taken care of her payment for the class and handed her the card back. She peeked over the counter to see what Jack was doing as she noticed little pictures.
"What are you working on their Jack?"
"A workout plan."
"A workout plan?"
"I help Daddy by watching and then take notes. See."
He put the piece of paper in front of Molly as she looked it over. She was impressed at how well the pictures actually represented the different workouts.
"These are very good Jack."
"Thank you."
"Now do you ever workout with Daddy?"
"Yes but only when he's around. I'm not allowed in the gym if he's not in it."
"Can you show me your big, strong muscles?"
Jack grinned and stood up on the chair and pulled his shirt off and tossed it on the desk. He flexed his arms showing Molly his muscles as she nodded her head. He even puffed his chest out causing Molly to laugh. Petey stood there and watched his son as he couldn't help but to laugh. There was no doubt that Jack was his son.
"You're big and strong just like Daddy."
"Alright put your shirt back on before you make all the guys here jealous."
Both Jack and Molly laughed as Jack put his shirt back on and sat back down. Petey slid the receipt to her for her to sign as she did so before sliding it back to him. She put her card back into her purse and smiled.
“Merci Pierre. Jackson it was very nice meeting you.”
Jack grinned big as Molly walked back into the studio room and sat back down next to Clair. She did her best to keep herself together while she was up at the counter. She felt her heart drop seeing Jack because it meant that Petey must be married. I mean why else would he have a kid. Clair looked over at her seeing that look on Molly's face.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing...it's nothing don't worry about it."
"Come on I know better than that."
"Don't worry about it Clair..."
She took a deep breathe and let it out before standing back up and grabbed her bag. All she wanted to do now was go home. Clair got up and grabbed her bag as well as Molly put on a happy face when they walked out. The girls waved to Petey and Molly waved to Jack as they left the gym.
