CHAPTER 13: Back To Business!


Molly's suspension was finally up and she was able to go back to work. Once she got the call from Dixie she was quick to pack her bags and was on the first plane down to Orlando. She had a nice break with her best friend Clair and seeing Petey was quite a surprise. Though now she was ready to get back to work.

She pushed the large door open and made her way into the building with her suitcase rolling behind her. The halls were quite as many of the superstars hadn't arrived yet. She looked at the name plates on the doors trying to find Dixie’s name so she could report back to work.

"Well it's good to see you back love."

Molly stopped and looked around to see Magnus walking down the hall. She smiled and walked over and wrapped her arms around him and gave him a big hug as he returned the favor.

"It's good to see you too. Missed you."

"I missed you too. I know someone else who's missed you?"

Molly took a step back and looked up at Magnus. She couldn't even begin to think of who would miss her. The only friend she had was Magus.

"Who else would miss me around here? I mean it's not like I'm on everyone's list of favorites."

"That short stack Canadian, Williams."

"Pierre?"

"That would be him. I hear you two had a few run ins while you were off."

"Well...nothing serious and the first time was literally a run in."

"He couldn't stop talking about it."

"It was nothing really. I mean even if I wanted him I couldn't have him. He's married and even has a son."

"He was married but not anymore. I don't know any of the details though."

Molly looked rather shocked as she began to wonder what might have happened. He seemed like too much of a nice guy. Thinking back he never once brought it up the two times they saw each other. She wasn't quite sure what to think of it.

Petey was making his way down the hall after finishing up his promo. He turned the corner only to spot Molly and Magnus together. Molly hugged Magnus as they said their goodbyes before she grabbed her suitcase and continued down the hall. Petey snuck back around the corner and sighed to himself. He made sure not to make a sound as Molly walked past him. Once he knew she was gone he quickly made his way down the hall only to be stopped.

"Hey Pete."

The short Canadian slowly turned around to be greeted by Magnus. He did his best to put on a friendly face as he grinned.

"Hey. What's up?"

"Not a whole lot. Just ran into Molly. Did you know that she was back."

"Uhh no. When did she get back?"

"Just now....you alright?"

"Fine."

Petey couldn't help but to lie. He didn't want Magnus to know that he just saw him get all lovey dovey with Molly just now. Magnus didn't look to sure about the Canadian but he didn't want to press the issue either.

"Sorry you just kind of startled me is all. I just finished my promo and was going to head back to the locker room."

“You should stop by and see her before going back to the locker room.”

“I was going to go clean up first.”

Magnus just shrugged his shoulders not wanting to argue with the Canadian even though he knew something was up he just couldn't put a finger on it. Petey made his way down the hall and into the locker room as he sighed to himself and closed the door behind him. He really wasn't sure what to think of the whole thing or whether or not he should even go see Molly.

Molly walked into Dixie’s office and put her suitcase in the corner as Dixie had yet to return to her office from the meeting she was in. Molly looked on the desk to find a list of things for her to do. She sat in the chair looking over the list as she began to write a few things down.

Petey made his way down the hall and found Dixie’s office. He slowly poked his head to find Molly but no Dixie as he smiled to himself. He looked around to make sure Dixie was no where to be found as he took a step into the office.

“Hey.”

“Bonjour Monsieur.”

She had a smile on her face as he walked into the office and took a seat in the chair across from her. She sat the list down on the desk and looked over at him. He was shirtless and she couldn't help but to look him over. She did her best not to get caught staring at him.

“It’s really good to have you back. I missed seeing you in the halls.”

“Oh? You did? I mean I didn't think anyone missed me. It’s not like I've been here long enough to be remembered.”

“I remembered you.”

“Only because I got into a fight with Ajay.”

“Let’s just forget all of that and start over.”

He knew they had a bit of a rocky start with him yelling at her in the gym to her getting into the fight with Ajay. He wanted to be able to forget about all of that and just start fresh and new. She smiled and nodded her head before leaning forward and sticking her hand out to him.

“Bonjour. I’m Molly Franklin and I’m here as Dixie’s assistant.”

Petey returned the gesture as he leaned forward and shook her hand.

“Hey. I’m Petey Williams and I’m one of the X-Division guys.”

She nodded and sat back in her chair as she picked up her notes and looked them over. She flipped through a few pages before looking back up at him.

“So Monsieur have you done your promo yet?”

“I just finished it up about 15 minutes ago as a matter of fact.”

She nodded her head and picked up her list and looked it over before looking back up at him.

"Looks like you are good to go for tonight. But you do have another promo tomorrow afternoon and then your two matches."

He nodded his head as the clicking on heels could be heard coming up behind him. Molly had turned to the incoming person as she smiled. It was the boss lady herself, Dixie Carter. Petey couldn't help straighten up slightly in the chair as Dixie walked around to her desk as Molly stood up.

“It’s good to have you back Ms. Molly.”

“It’s very good to be back Madame Carter.”

“Is there something I can help you with Petey?”

Petey snapped out of his focus and shook his head and stood up from his seat.

“No...I was just checking in on things is all. Just making sure I had everything done for today. I’ll be heading out now. It was good seeing you again Molly.”

He gave Dixie a nod before flashing Molly a smile and making his way out of the office. Once he was out of sight he let out a sigh of relief before thinking back to what he saw in the hall earlier. He didn't think he would be able to let the thought go for awhile. He couldn't put his finger on it but he always felt something inside of him every time he saw Molly. It was different because he was always around the other Knockouts and he never got that feeling with the other girls.
