Star Wars Rogue One

I really enjoyed Rogue One. I don't know if I'd go as far as to say that it's the best Star Wars movie, but for me, it's up there. Although I felt that it started a tad bit slow, it more than made up for it in the second half of the movie. The final scene (it's one of the best scenes in ANY Star Wars movie) is everything.

I reckon it started a little slow and after the whole intro scene was like "Hmmm, hasn't hooked me yet" but as it went, I began to really enjoy it. :D And yeah, Episode V will always be my favourite, followed by IV and VI (which tie), then Rogue One, then the rest indiscriminately. XD I don't care for the prequels much... I DO like Clone Wars though. It makes Anakin and Padme tolerable. I hate them both in the prequels. Dx Their love makes no sense and it's so creepy. XD

I agree. Anakin and Padme's relationship was strange, and if you ask me, it seemed a bit unneeded. But hey.

Holy crap, I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way! Something about Anakin and Padme just didn't feel like a real relationship.

I wasn't crazy about the prequels either. Some of the battle scenes were decent, but that's about it. None of the characters were that memorable, or they were in really bad ways. Jar Jar Binks is an abomination. XD

I did notice that Rogue One did start a bit slow, but it builds up and does get intriguing. And there are some REALLY GOOD battle scenes. I would definitely watch it again when it comes to Blu-Ray. :3

I do believe Mr Imwa to be my favorite, even though he is not a jedi, he can show one up; he can show a seeing eye jedi up. The actor was amazing.

I hope Episode VIII is more of the tone of Rogue One, not everyone dying, but a less light enviroment. To me, Force Awakens felt childish almost, like yea it was a Star Wars movie but at the same time it was a Disney movie. Rogue One felt completely different, it felt like a story straight out of the twisted universe of Star Wars. Darth Vader felt real, and terrifying. Those faces, my god those faces on the rebels trying to run from Vader. And Cader slicing everyone in a vengeful fury. That is how Vader looked in my head all this time. I want a movie of THAT Darth Vader. I don't care about continuing at this point, just give me THAT EXACT Darth Vader in a movie about his adventures of choppin people up.

I'm sure Episode VIII (titled The Last Jedi today) will be great. The Force Awakens was good, but you could definitely tell that Disney didn't want to take too many risks since Star Wars is such a treasured franchise.

I hope so. I just don't find Kylo Ren to be that intriguing or that threatening of a villain. He's definitely got nothing on Darth Vader. Maybe things will change, but at the moment, I'm a bit doubtful...

For a little bit, I thought he was awesome. But when he revealed his face... I don't know. He didn't seem to threatening. I completely agree with you on the notion that he's got nothing on Vader. However, I do think the potential is there for him to ultimately become the villain that fans are hoping for. We'll just have to wait and see.
