I only just saw Rogue One yesterday and I WAS SO IMPRESSED.

Firstly, CGI Tarkin was incredible. I mean, you could tell the second he spoke (also that his voice was obviously not Peter Cushing's), but aside from that it was so brilliantly done. CGI Leia made me tear up. Carrie's death hit me hard, and seeing her 19 year old self in Rogue One struck a nerve. Even though she died after the movie already came out, it felt like a tribute to her. Very nicely done. I LOOOVE that James Earl Jones is still around to play Vader, because without his voice, they surely couldn't have had him speak at all.

I knew everyone was going to die even before all the spoilers I saw because of in Episode IV when Mon Mothma is like "many ___ died to bring us this information" referring to the Death Star plans. On the subject of Mon Mothma, OH MY GOSH Genevieve O'Reilly is the spitting image of Caroline Blakiston. o__o Even her voice sounds extremely similar.

Overall I really enjoyed this movie. It was so much better than The Force Awakens, I reckon. I also love the fact that they basically had a bloody battle in this tropical beach-like area. Nice contrasts there. xD I also teared up when the monk dude died. :( He was so cool.
