No. According to Gaiman, they actually /are/ the concepts. He she /is/ Desire, every want that ever was. He /is/ Destiny, every winding path. She /is/ Death, the transition after life.

My logic: if it HAS to exist in a physical form, it can be removed from existance and henceforth destroyed without the concept itself being harmed. Your description is accurate for these cases-They definitely have almost omnipotent control over the area of their concept. If it does NOT have to remain in a physical form, then you are likely to remain safe. Maybe.

I don't care about the Endless enough to care for that, either. :P SCREW LOGIC.
