Just like the games and anime, Pokémon’s first mobile-only game, Pokémon Go, has quickly become a massive hit. But just how much time (and steps) taken by Pokémon Go players is completely mind-boggling.Reported by GoNintendo, as of December 7th, Pokémon Go players have walked 8.7 Billion kilometers. That is apparently enough miles to reach Pluto, and moreover, the stat when it comes to actual Pokémon caught raises even more eyebrows. As of that same Dec. 7 date, 88 Billion ‘mon have been caught, which translates roughly to 533 Million Pokémon a day.
It just raises the question, with more and more new Pokémon being added to the database, will we see an even bigger upturn in numbers? Only time will tell.
