    Today's Pokemon is...

    The Parent Pokemon, #115, Kangeskhan!

    Spoiler:
It was a beautiful day in the Kanto safari zone. Spearow were singing, the hot sun beat down on the plains, and a troop of kangaskhan was passing through the area. While not unusual to see these pokemon in large groups, they usually spent their time raising their young in the deeper parts of the safari. It was only during the breeding season that they emerged from the jungle and entered the open plains. It was quite the sight too, something many people took special visits to the safari zone just to see. Still, with all this traffic, that also brought great danger.

Park Ranger Madelief Schorel coaxed her partner, Kas the dodrio, forward as they followed the troop of kangaskhan from a distance. She was one of several rangers that had been selected to ensure that the kangaskhan made it across the plains safely today. She, along with three other rangers, were riding within quick dashing distance of the troop, just in case trouble should arise. In the past two years that Madelief had done this, she had never experienced any issues, but that was then, and this was now. Anything could happen.

’Rangers Schorel, Larsen, and Jennings! Come in!’ Madelief unclipped her walkie talkie from her hip. That was Ranger Soldati! He was running point for the troop. Had something happened?

“Ranger Schorel reporting in. What is the situation, Ranger Soldati?”

’This is bad! We’ve got a pack of houndoom exiting the jungle up ahead! I think they’re planning to attack the troop of kangaskhan!’ This was bad. This was very bad. Yes, it wasn’t entirely uncommon for pokemon like houndoom and mightyena to hunt kangaskhan, but never during kangaskhan breeding season. The breeding grounds that the kangaskhan usually used was technically in houndoom territory, but the packs that guarded those areas generally moved to a different part of the safari zone due to the lack of hunting possibilities in the area. Houndoom generally preyed upon small pokemon, like rattata, nidoran, and pidgey. They are notorious over hunters, and when they run low on prey, they migrate for a while. Thus the kangaskhan come in and the smaller pokemon return until the kangaskhan leave and the houndoom return. That had been the cycle for years! What was different now?

“There’s got to be a reason why they haven’t moved! These packs have been doing this routine for years. Is it possible they’ve got a new alpha?”

’No!’ Ranger Jennings’s voice crackled over the walkie talkie. ’I’ve been watching them all year. The only pack with a recent alpha change was the Druid Mightyena Pack. This is the Snake River Houndoom Pack. They’ve had the same pack leader for nearly seven years now, Razor. Unless something has happened within the last twenty-four hours I would know about it.’

Razor was an old houndoom and one of the longest surviving houndoom alphas in the park. Generally the alphas lasted three to five years, if that long. Razor, however, had proved himself time and time again that he was an alpha that was only going to be overthrown by death itself. Was it possible something had happened to him?

“We should go check on the pack,” Madelief said into the walkie talkie. “Ranger Jennings, you’re with me on checking on the pack. Everyone else, protect the kangaskhan and evacuate the observers. We don’t want any casualties if we can help it.” A chorus of yes ma’am’s answered Madelief. Snapping Kas’s reins, the dodrio sprinted forward past the kangaskhan troop. Ranger Florence Jennings rode up to her on her arcanine before the two broke off into the jungle. Dismounting as they approached the edge of the Snake River pack’s territory, Madelief and Florence returned their mounts to their pokeballs and sent out a manectric and houndoom instead. One thing Madelief had learned since becoming a park ranger was to always keep a pokemon on hand that was at least similar to many of the pokemon you would be dealing with. Manectric were rarely sighted in the safari zone, but it was a canine that could bargain with the packs of the zone. Of course, in a case like Florence, you keep one of every type of pokemon you specialize in with you, in this case any canine pokemon that had a pack in the safari zone was fair game.

The four ducked through the underbrush as they pressed forward. It didn’t take long before they were surrounded by several houndoom, fangs bared and ready to attack. Florence’s houndoom, Tasma, stepped forward and began to converse with the largest houndoom. After a moment, Sanjeev the Manectric joined in as well. Low growls and barks passed between the three before the large houndoom howled. The surrounding houndoom dispersed, returning to their positions along the border of their territory. Something was definitely up. Madelief was no expert but she was pretty sure houndooms generally did not take defensive positions like this on their territory. The large houndoom jerked its head, signaling for Madelief and Florence to follow. It led them quickly to the heart of Snake River territory and it became immediately clear what the problem is.

“Ranger Soldati! Ranger Larsen! We’ve discovered the problem,” Florence relayed into the walkie talkie. “It’s the pup, Elissa.” This explained everything. This past mating season, the Snake River pack had run into some trouble. The Oxbow Houndoom pack had made a bold move this past mating season. The two packs had gone to war over territory. The Oxbow pack was not near as large as the Snake River pack, and eventually lost, but not without forcing some heavy casualties on the Snake River pack. This included a fatal wounding to the alpha female. Generally, female houndooms have around four pups per litter, but such was not the case for the female alpha, Luce, this breeding season. Luce gave birth to a single pup, a shiny houndour that was nicknamed Elissa. She passed shortly after the delivery. Several other female houndooms in the pack took turns carrying for the child, and the rangers even aided some as well. Elissa was very small and much frailer than the average houndour pup. The rangers had given her many shots and vaccines, just to ensure the pup made it. While park rangers generally did not intervene with the lives of the packs, the Snake River was a huge powerhouse of a pack, and the loss of the alpha female was a huge blow. Elissa needed to survive at least a year if the survival of the pack was to be ensured.

’What’s the issue?’ Ranger Soldati radioed back. Florence and Madelief approached Razor and Elissa slowly. The alpha male looked up and growled at their approached, causing Tasma and Sanjeev to bark and snarl in return. Razor stood up, his body looking very weak, as if he was suffering from malnutrition. Of course, there was no food to hunt in this area. All the houndoom were slowly starving the longer they remained here. So why not move on? Razor looked as if he were about to attack when his eyes landed on Florence. He paused, as if recognizing Florence as the person who had tended to Elissa in the past. Florence moved closer and smiled.

“It’s okay, Razor, we’re not to hurt you,” she said calmly before replying into the walkie talkie. “Razor and the other houndoom appear to be malnourished. Razor won’t let us too close to Elissa though so I can’t check her yet. Will keep you posted.” Clipping her walkie talkie back on her belt, Florence got down on her knees and crawled closer to Razor cautiously. Razor watched her with narrowed eyes before stepping aside, revealing Elissa. The shiny houndour was shivering and coughing, her breathing shaky at best. Florence drew up beside her and began to inspect the small pup. She checked inside the pup’s ears, mouth, and eyes. After a few minutes of inspection, Florence looked back at Madelief. “I think she’s got some sort of respiratory infection. Her breathing is very irregular, and it sounds like she’s having a lot of trouble breathing. She’s also got chills and definitely has a fever. We’re going to have to take her back to base for further inspection and treatment.”

“That all sounds great to me, but I don’t know if Razor or the pack will allow that. And how do we tell the pack to move while also abducting their future alpha female?” Florence put a hand on her chin before looking at Tasma.

“Can you try to convey to Razor that we need to take Elissa away for some time? She’s dying and we need to treat her immediately if we want her to live. But also, we need his pack to move away from this territory. There isn’t any food for them here, and they’re blocking a troop of kangaskhan from reaching their breeding grounds.” Tasma gave a sharp nod before turning to Razor. She repeated the message through a series of growls and barks. Razor did not appear pleased at the information and snarled in return before looking at Elissa. After a series of barks back and forth, Razor shot a hard look at Florence before howling. The entire Snake River pack circled up. Razor barked a series of commands to the pack before leading them off into the direction of their usual hunting grounds of the season, leaving Elissa, Madelief, and Florence behind.

“Let’s go, before he changes his mind,” Madelief said. Sending out their mounts again, Florence relayed the whole situation to the other park rangers. The two rangers rushed out of the jungle, past the troop of kangaskhan, back to their base. As soon as they reached the base, Elissa immediately went into treatment. Florence remained at the base to help the medics, but Madelief was ordered to return to the kangaskhan troop. As she rode back out, Madelief couldn’t help but worry for the small pup. Even though the kangaskhan were now safely able to reach their breeding grounds, it was not a happy day for the Snake River pack. The ranger could only hope that Elissa pulled through her treatments so that she could return one day.

    Today's Pokémon is…

    The Boxing Pokemon, #739,
    Spoiler:
Sirens blared loudly as three pokemon trainers sprinted through the Aether Paradise. Their breaths came quickly, knuckles White from gripping their pokeballs in preparation for the inevitable fights. It was still somewhat hard for them to believe they were even doing this.

"Intruder alert! Intruder alert! Three unauthorized trainers have been spotted in sector B. I repeat, three unauthorized trainers have been spotted in sector B. Eliminate them." Well that certainly didn't sound suspicious at all. Footsteps echoed throughout the plant as the three trainers moved through the cargo hold, avoiding detection as best they could. They had to know the truth. After the incident with the agent handling Celesteela, they needed to know if what actions they had chosen were correct, or if they had merely been manipulated.

"There they are!" a foundation employee yelled as he threw a heavy ball into the air. Out burst a magneton, immediately shooting a discharge of electricity at the trainers. The agent at point tucked and rolled out of the way, releasing a crabrawler and calling out,

"Power-up Punch, let's go!" The crabrawler shot forward with dizzying speed, striking the magneton with several punches before retreating as it collapsed. The employee stumbled back in shock at the sheer power of the agents, a heracross and swellow joining the fray and taking down their opponents with ease as well.

"Someone get Faba! And keep up the attacks!" another employee commanded. The three agents looked at one another and sighed.

"I mean, we figured this would happen, right?" The first agent, a member of the Alolan branch of the PBI, named Kokani Alana, merely shrugged as one of her fellows spoke.

"Yeah, but we can't give up! I have to know if catching UB-05, I mean… Guzzlord, was the right decision. Because if it wasn't…" Kokani didn't need to finish, as any good trainer would feel guilty for putting a pokémon in harm's way.

"It's okay, Kokani, we get it. We can do this." Kokani smiled as one of the other agents, a White Rocket from Kanto named Sawyer Dullivan, placed his hand on her shoulder for support. "Reilly and I will fight until the bitter end to know that Buzzwole is safe and sound." Sawyer's heracross buzzes his wings in agreement before using megahorn on some incoming drowsee.

"And when guys can't go on, Joey and I will be here to ensure that Phermosa and all the other Ultra Beasts are safe!" Sawyer and Kokani looked at the final agent, a member of the Hoenn Rangers named Mia Tena, and grins split between the three of them. Mia gave the other two a thumbs up before yelling, "Joey use aerial ace!" The swellow screeched before diving into the attack and taking out an accelgor.

It didn't take long to clear the path to the elevator but once they reached it they encountered another problem. The elevator required a key card to move. Sawyer motioned for the two girls to protect the elevator while he worked his magic. It was a perk for the White Rockets that you didn't get sent on high ranking missions such as an Ultra Beast catching without being able to prove yourself in another field first. Sawyer's was hacking, as it was applicable on and off the field of battle. After a few minutes, Sawyer unclipped a keycard from his belt and swiped it, then pushed a button for BF2. The guardrails popped up and the trio slowly started to descend. As the ceiling closed and the three agents were lowered into the laboratories, tension started to crawl across their skin.

"What do you think we'll find down here?" Mia asked quietly before shivering. The temperature seemed to be slowly dropping.

"Not a clue, but if they went woobat crazy over us barging in despite being military agents that have access to a place like this, they've got to be hiding us," Kokani replied. She glanced down at her partner, Rocky, as he paused for a break to regain his energy. They still had a lot of fighting ahead of them most likely so any rest was useful.

"I just don't understand what the big deal is." Mia and Kokani looked at Sawyer. He had his arms crossed and was frowning hard as he stared off the platform. "I've met Jalal before. We actually cooperated on the Giratina case. He's not the type to do something like this unless he doesn't trust the receiving end of the deal. I mean, becoming a wanted fugitive? And dragging another agent into this with him? That's crazy! But… Jalal wouldn't do it unless he had a reason. I need to give his actions justification. He can't have done this is vain!" Mia and Kokani nodded in understanding. While not every agent from the PBI or from the other forces that protected the regions knew each other, an unspoken respect was held for all agents. If the integrity of one agent was questioned, it was the duty of all the other agents to either prove their innocence or bring them to justice.

The elevator shook as it clicked into place on BF2. As the guardrail lowered, the three agents found themselves surrounded by more employees. Mai grit her teeth as she back to the center of the elevator with her fellows. They were surrounded but they were so close! If they could clear a path to the labs then they could find the truth. A high pitched laugh echoed throughout the laboratories.

"Oh my! Have our actions really warranted the inspection of three different secret agents? And just after we had gotten the Alolan police off our tails from the incident with Cosmog. Oh well, we'll just have to dispose of you." Kokani hands balled up into fists as she glared at Faba. Wasn't he supposed to be in jail? This didn't bode well at all. They needed to clear a path and fast.

"Andy use flashcannon!" A blast a silver light tore through the crowd of pokemon and employees and Mia waved to her companions. "Come on! Andy use flashcannon again!" The armaldo cried out before releasing another silver blast. Kokani and Sawyer ran towards the lab with Mia and Andy right behind them. Sawyer bent down to the lock and swiped his keycard again. The door opened and on the other side stood three scientists.

"Watch out!" Kokani yelled as she sent out a sawk. "Harold use Protect!" The sawk raised his blue hands into the air and large green bubble formed around them just in time to block an ominous wind from a froslass. "What do we do?" Kokani asked her companions. Sawyer threw a dusk ball into the air and out burst a zoroark.

"We fight. Lower the protect on my mark." The protect was holding for now but with the constant barrage from both sides, it wasn't going to hold long. Sawyer looked at his zoroark and nodded. "Ace, when the protect is lowered use snarl and make it as powerful as you can. Reilly, use silver wind at the same time." Sawyer waited in silence for a few more beats before yelling, "Now!" The protect was dropped and a combo snarl silver wind ripped through the compound, knocking back and dazing their opponents. "Go go!" The three agents and their pokemon took off deeper into the lab, Sawyer swiping his keycard to open the first door then diving inside. He began to type on the holo computer at the edge of the room but the security was high grade, as to be expected. Still, it would take longer than they had time for to hack.

"Uh guys." Sawyer and Kokani looked up from their tasks to see Mia next to a switch. She pointed to the ceiling. The three agents looked above them to see the ceiling retracted and above them what could only be described as a torture chamber.

"Dear Arceus," Kokani muttered as she stared at the horrifying sight. All the Ultra Beasts they had captured were chained up and being experimented on from the looks of it. "Guzzlord, no… how could I let this happen to you!" Kokani watched as one of its mouth heads was cut off only to regrow moments later. Still, it was obviously in agony, the cries of all the Ultra Beasts echoing in the agents' ears.

"We need to tell someone about this," Sawyer said as he snapped photos with his pokegear. "It wasn't just Lusamine, this whole corporation is nuts!"

"Oh so you've found the experiment chambers. Pity. Now we really can't have you leave. Oh well, we were in need of new test subjects anyway." Sawyer started to spin around only to have a vine wrap around him as well as the other two agents. A shock entered their bodies, heat burning their every nerve as their assailant attacked with a venoshock. They collapsed, all unconscious, Faba's deranged laughter echoing throughout the room.

    Today's Pokemon is...

    The Generator Pokemon, #695, Heliolisk!

Sorry for not writing new stories lately, I've been working on a SUPER SECRET project. Once I finish that then I'll be able to work on these more. I already have ideas for some of them too.

    Spoiler:
Jalal groaned as his mind began to return to clarity. He raised his hand to his forehead and opened his eyes. His surroundings were fussy, he couldn't make out much. Where was he? There was a lot of green. Was he in a forest?

"Ahh, so you've finally decided to awaken. I was worried you'd soon depart from the land of the living." Jalal's vision started to focus as he sat up a little. He looked around, trying to locate the source of the voice, but all he could see was a Noctowl. Who had spoken to him?

"Well it seems I've finally gone crazy. I'm hearing voices," Jalal mumbled to himself. He sat all the way up and crossed his legs. Jalal shivered in the breeze and started to observe his surroundings when he looked back down at his legs. Last he had checked they hadn't been thin and yellow with black feet. Was this a dream? It had to be a dream. Or he really was losing it.

"You seem confused, young one. It's natural. You've been unconscious for several days after falling out of the sky. I can assure you though, you are not hearing voices." Jalal looked up as the Noctowl walked up next to him. "Now, let's see what all you can remember. What's your name?" Jalal stared wide eyed at the Noctowl.

"There's a Noctowl talking to me. They can't do that. Pokemon can't talk. I really am going crazy." The Noctowl watch Jalal carefully for a moment before smiling.

"Let me guess, you're a human aren't you?" Jalal's shocked expression said it all. "No need to be surprised. I've meant another human who was a similar case. Allow me to inform you that where you are currently has no humans, only Pokemon. The only way for humans to enter is to become Pokemon. It is a sanctuary for us, if you will. Why you have been sent here, I do not know. But just know, humans are regarded as deities here, so unless you want to attract attention to yourself, I suggest acting like a normal Heliolisk." Jalal blinked a few times before looking down at his hands.

Everything suddenly came flooding back. That's right! He was on he run with Dylan and Celesteela! And that girl's… whatever Pokemon it was had teleported them to safety. So how had he ended up here? And where was Dylan? Jalal put a hand to his head. This was a lot to take in but with everything that had happened in the past few days he wasn't that surprised by it. Why not? It was much easier to get a roll on things if you just accepted them and then move past it.

Jalal stood up and looked over himself. Okay, so he was a heliolisk. Good, it was a Pokémon he was semi-familiar with. So, then, he needed to make a plan. Maybe this Noctowl could help. He turned and extended his hand.

"Sorry, you understand this is a bit much to take in right away. But I think I'm okay for now. My name's Jalal. You said you found me here after falling from the sky a few days ago? Do you know how to get back?" The Noctowl observed Jalal, his expression unreadable as he thought over his response carefully.

"They call me Nameless Noctowl. I am the guardian of this forest and the treasure within it along with my son, Mono." At the name drop, a grovyle slowly moved into view from behind the buses where he had blended in. Mono watched Jalal curiously with a glint of suspicion in his eyes as Nameless Noctowl continued. "We found you unconscious on the ground not too far from the forest. It is not the first time this has happened, so we knew exactly the circumstances of your situation. However, humans have not arrived in many years, not since the war. As a result, I highly suggest lying low for now. I can take you to a pokemon that may be able to help you, but he is the only other one to know of your true identity, understand?” Jalal nodded quickly. Nameless Noctowl looked to his son and gestured with his wing. “Take Jalal to town, I will remain to guard the Time Gear.” Mono nodded and stepped forward, gesturing for Jalal to follow him. Jalal ran after him as quickly as possible, still adjusting to this body, but starting to get used to it.

“So you’re a human,” Mono started as they walked through the forest.

“Yes, I am. I was a secret agent during my time as a human,” Jalal replied, seeing no harm in divulging this information. Mono glanced at him, his yellow eyes following Jalal’s every movement.

“My my, quite accomplished, I presume. Knowing this is quite amusing, see how much grace you lack right now just by walking. I hope you manage to learn by the time we reach town.” Jalal growled in annoyance and was about to respond when an armaldo burst through the trees. Mono reacted immediately, extending the leaves on his arms into blades. “Run, Jalal! I’ll distract it! Head straight and you’ll run into a town. Ask around for Detective Knash! He can help you!” Mono charged at the Armaldo and slashed across its face with a leaf blade. Jalal didn’t wait for any further explanation and took off in as best of a run as he could. Having a tail did not make it easy for him to balance, so Jalal stumbled around a lot as he ran, but he finally managed to break out of the forest. He could hear the distinct buzzing of beedrill behind him and decided now was not a good time to stop.

Jalal sprinted down the woodland path leading to town before tripping on his own tail and tumbling down the hillside. He finally stopped at the bottom of the hill, and sighed in relief, only for the buzzing to grown louder. Well now was the time to run. Jalal pushed himself up and started his race up again. It wasn’t long when he entered the town, beedrill in hot pursuit.

“Watch out!” someone shouted. Jalal saw a rattata in a black trenchcoat racing towards him. The rattata ducked and burst into flames, striking the pursuing beedrill with flame wheel. Jalal sighed with an even heavier relief and approached the rattata.

“Thank you,” he said, “I greatly appreciate your help.” The rattata brushed himself off and eyed Jalal curiously.

“You are very welcome, though I don’t doubt you could have handled them yourself if you had chosen to engage them. Still, I am always here to help a pokemon in need.” He paused then extended his paw. “My name is Detective Knash, pleasure to make your acquaintance.” Jalal couldn’t believe his luck. It was finally starting to turn around! This was the guy they had told him to meet after all. Jalal extended his reptilian hand and shook Detective Knash’s paw.

“The pleasure is all mine. My name is Jalal. I have been sent to seek you out per the orders of Nameless Noctowl.” Detective Knash’s eyes widened and he quickly motioned for Jalal to follow him.

“I see. This explains a lot. Please, follow me, there’s much we have to discuss.”

    Today's Pokemon is...

    The Owl Pokemon, #164, Noctowl!

    Spoiler:
A young noctowl walked down the street, leaving the woods after a long day of dungeon crawling. As he strolled up the path, he noticed a large building in the shape of an umbreon’s head and sighed. It had been almost a decade since the leaders of the rescue team that lived there had disappeared. While auxiliary members had taken over and ran the team very effectively, the area had never been quite the same. While having humans turn into pokemon was relatively unheard of, rumors had always said there were many among them that simply stayed hidden well. And while this noctowl was not one of them, he had been lucky enough to meet one of the ones that had failed to stay hidden.

Her name was Luna, Luna the umbreon. He had met her when he was just a hoothoot, and she was simply an eevee. She and her partner, Neva the Charmander, had rescued him from Sinister Forest, and instilled in him the confidence he needed to become a rescuer himself. He had trained rigorously after that, sometimes needing aid from others to save him when he went too deep in, but he saw how Luna and Neva never gave up, even when faced with the legendary bird, Zapdos.

When Luna was revealed to be human, the small hoothoot had not been sure what to feel, but following her fleeing, he had been one of the first to jump to her defense. He knew such a sweet girl could not mean any harm to his world. And he had been right. She went on to save the world and accomplish even greater feats. But then, one stormy night, Luna, Neva, Savior, and Dive had all disappeared. While no calamity had struck since, life was never quite the same.

Life had moved on without her, and now ten years had passed. There was no disguising how much an impact that Team Friendship had made on this noctowl’s life, and he had to wonder if he would die with the one regret of never being able to repay them. Shaking his head, the noctowl continued on his way, walking through Pokemon Square towards Whiscash Pond. Flapping his large brown wings, he flew over to the forests above. Landing amongst the trees, he walked into the heart of the forest, where his nest lay.

The noctowl took off his bag as he approached his nest, and a small head poked out as the sound of his approach. A baby treecko smiled and waved his arms at the noctowl. The noctowl extended his wing and pat the treecko on his head. He dumped his bag into the nest and scattered about the different toys for the child to play with. The baby treecko immediately latched onto a blue ball and began to roll around with it. The noctowl began to busy himself with putting away the items that the baby could not play with or that he would need for rescues later. As he sifted through the contents, a soft blue glow caught his eye. The noctowl approached his bag and lifted it. Looking inside, his red eyes locked onto a small glowing gear that looked like it belonged to a clock. Perplexed, the noctowl reached inside and touched the gear.

Instantly the noctowl’s surroundings went bright white, and the noctowl found himself face to face with two gods. He bowed to them, feeling unworthy to be in the presence of the rulers of time, Dialga and Celebi. He felt a tap on his shoulder and looked up to see Celebi smiling at him.

“RECIPIENT OF THE TIME GEAR,” a booming voice echoed, “YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN AS THE FIRST GUARDIAN OF TIME ITSELF. ONE DAY IN THE FUTURE, TIME WILL BE IN GRAVE DANGER. AS A RESULT, CELEBI AND I HAVE SPLIT OUR SOULS AND PLACED THEM INTO THESE GEARS IN HOPES IT WILL MAINTAIN THE BALANCE LONG ENOUGH FOR THE PROPHECY OF XATU TO COME TO PASS.” Celebi quickly interrupted,

“You do know of the prophecy, correct?” The prophecy of Xatu? Everyone in the entire world knew of it! Shortly before his passing, the great seer, Xatu, had given one last prophecy, professing the return of Luna and the others, as well as the arrival of more humans. But before all the details could be sorted out, the man passed, leaving the world with more questions than answers. The noctowl nodded quickly and looked back to Dialga.

“YOUR JOB AS GUARDIAN IS TO PROTECT THE TIME GEAR. NO DOUBT ONCE WORD SPREADS OF THEIR EXISTENCE, THIEVES WILL COME SEEKING THEIR POWER. YOU CANNOT ALLOW THAT. ONLY ONE INDIVIDUAL CAN TAKE THE TIME GEAR FROM THIS FOREST, AN INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS SEEN THE FUTURE AND IS WILLING TO GIVE UP EVERYTHING IN ORDER TO CHANGE IT. I CANNOT DISCLOSE THEIR IDENTITY, BUT YOU WILL KNOW THEM WHEN YOU SEE THEM.” That was very mysterious, but from the sounds of it, did that mean Luna was possibly in the future? Was she the one that he was to give the Time Gear to? “DO YOU ACCEPT?” The noctowl put a wing to his beak and thought on this.

This was his chance. Beyond raising the young treecko orphan, the noctowl had never really felt like he had been given a purpose in life. Yet, he had always wanted to repay Team Friendship for everything they had done for him. This was his chance to repay them. Yes, he would do it. He would help Team Friendship fulfill Xatu’s prophecy! The noctowl once again gave a sharp nod and placed his right wind in a salute.

“It would be my honor,” he replied softly. Celebi gave him another soft smile and nodded a little.

“Thank you, may Arceus bless you and your companion with fulfillment and safety.” And with that, he was back in the forest. The noctowl still had his wing in the bag, feathers wrapped around the Time Gear. Removing his wing, the noctowl closed the bag and looked at the baby treecko. He walked over to the child and showed him the Time Gear.

“Do you see this?” he asked, “This is a Time Gear. And it is my duty to protect it.” The child looked at the object with wonderment in his eyes. “One day, it will be your duty as well, until the one who has seen the future and is willing to give up everything in order to change it comes to claim it.”

And thus began the reign of the first guardian of the Treeshroud Forest guardian, the Nameless Noctowl.

    Everything is repetitive
They try to make a sucka bleed
But all they get is negative
    It's cynical,
    My lyrics are so clinical,
    Pivotal,
    Wishin for a chance, see
But all i get is missingno
