I absolutely love how one-sided this thread is. It's not that shocking, though! It shouldn't be, anyway!

It honestly says a lot about President Trump, but hey. We're only voicing our opinions. I wouldn't bash anyone for feeling differently. It's an open discussion after all.

I know Donald Trump isn't a good person, and shouldn't be president. However as much as I dislike him and don't think he should be president (and believe me, it is a lot) I don't think Clinton should have been president (as the whole email thing was stupid as hell on her behalf. The fact that she risk classified documents for the sake of convenience isn't good enough), as well as, I have developed a massive hate for the far left wing.

Donald Trump isn't a good guy. But when the left make him out to be Satan himself, and further divide America, it is going to be worse. Honestly, Trump could manage to stop all illegal drug dealing, and the left would complain that he put people of work, and that it is a hate crime towards whatever is the major demographic in those who are stopped (unless they're white, male, straight, cisgender or christian, because anyone who matches two or more of those fields is also Satan himself).

What I am getting at is this. America is in for a rough few years with President Trump, but it is only going to be worse with the left wing acting the way they are. Protest when there is reason to protest, and when it is going to achieve something (Honestly, some of the stuff I have seen in current protests by the left disgusts me). But should Trump be trying to do something that is good (I know, it's a long shot) don't get in the way purely because it's Trump.

It's about setting and being an example. We know who President Trump is and how he plans to operate as the leader of the United States (he told us). Many of us disagree with him and his methods. However, just as those who voted in Obama (myself included) wished for those that didn't to give him a chance, we have to do the same for President Trump... as difficult as that may be. When he does good, he deserves credit. When he does bad, he deserves criticism.

    It's all about being fair.

I don't think he'll change as a person, he'll still tweet unnecessarily he'll still call anyone who disagrees with him a moron. But I think he'll have to change the way he goes about policy setting, he's gonna have to get use to compromise to get what he wants.

I have to agree with @Desolate Divine. Hilary Clinton probably wouldn't have been a worse President but if she had won, she would have continued to foster a system that's broken. The fact that Donald Trump won despite how much he is hated by the people showed to me that the people are sick of the empty promises the political establishment makes.

The extreme left make no sense to me, they've been so blatantly hypocritical that it's disgusting. At least the alt-right are unashamed of who they are, the extreme left seem to think that they can claim dignity all while they stoop to the same levels as the very people they belittle. I don't remember where I heard it but it did make me chuckle when someone said a wealthy liberal is a confusing creature.

I make it two years of Trump smugness, before the stalemates start. America does love it's balance. So unless the conservatives actually manage to do positive things while they're in the position they're in, they'll lose one if not both houses in 2018.

Personally, I don't have an issue with the tweeting. Is it unnecessary? Sure. However, I think it's actually a good thing. President Trump is KNOWN for speaking what's on his mind and he does so quite often via Twitter. Because of this, we don't have to deal with anybody trying to sugarcoat what he may or may not mean because he'll adamantly tell us what he actually means through his tweets (he already does so).

I agree with you though. I don't believe he'll change, but it's only fair to give him a chance to do so. It isn't wise for anyone to believe he'll suddenly do so after so many years though.

Speaking from the perspective of a person who has been studying him for roughly two years now, I can say that yeah his first few days so far have not been ideal.

Quite candidly though I'm trying to keep a positive outlook on things for now because I'd like to have a career to go into in four years or so. Nevertheless, I have to commend him, he is doing everything he said he would. Most presidents fail in that aspect.

I do want to emphasize though that he is a business man not a politician, which is crucial since if you've been to law school it means for the most part you've been trained in the art of behavior sciences. Business people aren't trained. I also suspect in some aspects because of this people in his staff that are politicians might be slightly manipulating him to do what is on their agendas rather than what's better for the United States. But that's just a theory I don't have hard evidence for that but it certainly would not be the first time.

All in all generally speaking the first 100 days usually set the tone for the presidency, and I won't lie there's a part of me that's hoping this is one of the exceptions.

I also give him credit for doing what he claimed he do, even though I may disagree with what he's doing.

I can respect that. Most people won't even give him credit there because they don't agree with him.
