Life of Mujaffa, Atleast The Good Bits

    First off, drink responsibly.
now that that's out of the way and you probably didnt if you're rocking a hangover.
i have been on a cabin with my former co workers, it had an indoor pool, tv, boat rental and last and probably most used open bar. we started the 2 hour drive from town to the cabin at noon friday.
me and my non-driver peers cracked beer 1 trough 3 on the drive then after tactically making our beds "before we were unable to" the reasoning behind why we would be unable to do that i'm sure can be guessed.
after swiftly making our beds we headed straight for the pool. beer in hand, obviously. and had a litteral splash there this includes climbing trough a window to the sub zero outside where refresments could be found. it was less than warm but oh so worth it.

dinnertime, homemade tacos. choice of red or white wine and water. note that only water or soda was not an option. i went with the white wine and belive that was the correct call as the food was great and the ongoing conversation over the feast was lively to say the least. ranging from work to volvos to more personal subjects. after the dinner we sat down around the fireplace for a few hours and continued the conversation from the dinner table. and our host did make sure it was impossible to have an empty glass. we're on gin and tonic at this point and everything here on out is.. a bit of a blur.

so if i were responsible i'd now get a bottle of water and go to sleep so i'd not risk a bad hangover. but we hopped in the pool instead. now in the ad for the cabin we rented it said there was a jacuzzi but rather there was a bathtub with bubbles. a big bath tub but still designed for one person. after 10 minutes of being 4 in a very .. not exactly relaxing jacuzzi session we gave up on the idea and headed for bed at around midnight.

so on the morning of day 2, at around 8 we're all feeling.. less than optimal. this was quickly cured with a good breakfast. i was rather shocked when i saw a bottle of jaegermeister next to the orange juice but an ice cold little glass next to the breakfast was a decent hangover cure. but not the best. but we'll get to that. after the breakfast we were all pretty lazy so we fired up the telly and watched a movie. the movie was Smokey and the Bandit which is always fun. after the movie we had lunch. eggs 'n' bacon after lunch we rented a boat and that was reaaaally cold. atleast for the first beer. after that it was nice and we kicked back with a bit of fishing til the sun started going down. got nothing worth keeping on the hook but a good time either way.

back in the cabin, back in the pool. i swear that pool probably saw more use this weekend than most public ones. me and 2 others made a pretty interesting game with an empty plastic bottle where we had to pass the bottle like in volleyball, just in a pool, and with a bottle. whoever missed the pass had to take a swig from their drink (rum and cola) before serving again. anyone who has ever participated in a drinking game can tell you how this ended. so as before. everything here on out is .. err.. a tad fuzzy. but i do. i do remember the dinner. and let me tell you. i have never had steak so juicy in my life. what a meal that was. this was pretty late around 9 most of the company went to sleep after relaxing a bit by the fire. me and the other 2 participants of the "pool volleybottle" game did not. i mean. we still had a full vodka bottle. which joined us on a evening stroll. around midnight we return and finish off what was left of said bottle. in the pool. ovbiously.
around 2 am we go watch a movie and munch on leftovers from the dinner. i dont remember what movie it was.. or much of what happened in it. but at 3am we went to sleep.

so responsible drinking went out the window there. today at 10 i got back up with one of the wost hangovers i have had. in my life. had some breakfast and cleared out my stuff. 2 hour drive home. didnt want to do anything when i got back even lying in the sofa was more effort than i wanted to put into the day. but i have a hangover cure which has never failed me before. here is a step by step guide:
    1. by far the hardest step. GET OUT OF THE COUCH
    2. have a 20 minute power nap, DO NOT SLEEP LONGER!!
    3. big mug of coffee. this will make things worse for a bit but it's essencial for step 3
    4. your gut should feel horrid at this point. so go have a poop.
    5. have a shower make sure the water's not too hot, but it doesnt have to be cold. just find a good medium
    6. put on hardstyle techno music and slowly crank the volume over time as you start to feel better.
    pros: cures hangover
    cons: you're now thirsty again.
wrote this story durring step 6 so there's proof.
did take a few pictures, but i shouldave been better at documenting the trip. but here's the few i got http://imgur.com/a/at15H
anyways i'm heading out for a pint, cheers!

Did i ever tell you about my friend's boat?
    OvuRwA8.jpg
This monster of a machine is a whole 22feet long and has all of 15 horsepowers making it... incredibly slow. and durring the last summer i spent probably 2-3 days a week on this thing. and i dont regret one second of it.
it also has a pretty solid stereo onboard which is needed if you want to hear music over the engine. now this one trip in particular at the end of summer we had been going for a few hours when something went very wrong with the steering it still worked. a little. you could turn the wheel all the way around and at the very end you'd get a very slight resistance turning the rudder a few inches, this ofcourse had to happen an hour from our destination, in the dark. so not only do we have to go trough the city past it and into a tight canal with barely any steering but we also can barely see. the one hour trip took about 3 due to having to stop and turn the boat with an ore for any sharp turns. it was pretty exiting it was still a fun trip tho i mean we made it trough. the broken part has since been replaced.. with zip ties. and is as good as ever!

some time later, weather was getting a bit chilly at this point we were chilling on the boat with a few beers while it was parked after a while we got a little bored and decided we'd make a fuel run. the weather forecast said "some wind" it turned out to be a borderline storm. it was scary because you gotta take the waves from the front or rear in this boat or it's like sitting in a washing machine. i dont remember much of this trip to be honest. i pretty much sat frozen in a chair and waited for it to be over. i did calm down and get used to it for a little bit but 5 minutes after i was calm a huge wave washed over the front and i went back to frozen in the chair eventually we made it over and into some cover on the other side, now it was just the trip back over the other way. i handled it very much the same but a little better as i didnt have to look at the waves this time around. after finally parking and securing the boat we went back to chilling so much infact all 3 of us fell asleep. waking up the day after it was quite cold and in hindsight crossing a storm with a zip tied steering, proooobably not the best idea. still gives bragging rights!
