I thought I'd have to give it up too! To hell with that. As long as I'm handling my priorities, I'm going to do what I love to do during my free time.

I'll check out the TED Talk when I get the chance!

I don't think I really looked towards adulthood with any sort feeling. The adults(and adulthood) were kind of just there.

It's like bumper bowling, my parents gave me the freedom to learn how to bowl, to figure out what to do and what not to do but they also made sure that i didn't drop into the gutters and tried to make sure I could bounce back. But once those barriers get lifted it's a whole new...bowl game...

I can't say that I've mastered adulthood, but I have found a niche that I'm pretty comfortable in. Like @Speed-X said, the trick for me was to understand that it's a constant balancing act. To find the immaturity in maturity, the selfishness in selflessness or the ability to live in everyone's world while still trying to make it my personal playground.

You know what's funny is that most kids will tell you that they can't wait to grow up and have the freedoms that an adult has. While most adults will tell you that life was so much easier and they wished they had the freedom they did when they were younger. We traded the shackles of immaturity for the shackles of responsibility. Tis a cruel world we live in.

As an adult I surround myself with anime girl figures that I would have never wanted as a kid. XD
    What is happiness?
    It's being called by someone
It's being able to call someone
It's when someone is thinking of you
But Heaven has none of this
A lizard girl took pity on God
So the lizard girl tore God in two and brought a half from Heaven to Earth

I never really wanted to be an adult growing up. As a kid, I always thought there'd be like a moment where you would finally feel like an adult and just KNOW everything you needed to know. Maybe when you turned 20 or something. XD I have realised that is not going to happen, so I still don't feel like an adult at all. I've realised adults just do the best they can and they don't really know what they're doing anyway!

As an adult I realize there is a lot more immaturity than I thought out there. :D

You also realize that adults carry their immaturity with them, so it's not just something that sticks with the younger crowd.

They're not too bad. A lot of sections I end up skipping simply because they don't apply.

BUT, use something like Turbotax for doing it. Oh lordy, don't try to do it by hand. Yeowza.
