You arrive at the Altamar Motel, which has been abandoned for several years now and even has signs about its pending demolition, but that has yet to happen. The building's condition isn't even in that bad of a shape, but you suspect they would rather build another high-rise office building or apartment complex instead of having this. Even from a structural engineering standpoint, there's no way the foundations of this small motel could support additional floors, so the only choice is to tear it down and start fresh. But it looks like something on the regulatory side is holding the project back from happening.

You make your way past the rusty metallic construction barrier grating and then make your way inside the cracked and weathering gray building. As you step through the remnants of the entrance, there doesn't seem to be anything much still left inside. The walls have been stripped bare down to the concrete base and the floors are nothing but foundation stone. Meanwhile, loose wiring, pipes, and ducts around the ceiling and walls are completely exposed. If there was anything of value here, it's already been taken out and the rest is due to become landfill material.

After searching around on the first few floors, you find squatters have been using this vacant building as shelter. In particular, you find a homeless Pignite and a Paras sleeping here with their only possessions in discarded old handbags. It seems for now, they have a place to stay, but when the demolition teams come, they'll need to head somewhere else. You can't help but glance at the Skywatcher Skyscraper and figure that's probably one of the next places they'll consider.

Where the motel office used to be, you find there's a back room that's been completely gutted save for a rusted cellar door that you believe would go underground, but you're not sure. You take a look at the keyhole and it seems like someone painted a black rose above the keyhole. The paint still seems fresh and hasn't seen signs of age, which is unusual considering everything else in here. From what you can see, the lock doesn't look too complicated, so you begin to think you may not even need the key if it can't be found. However, picking the lock is beyond your own ability.

Locked Door: {Underground Cellar Door: Black Rose Emblem / <Lockpick>} has been noted in the Team Records.

You decide to head out back into the night streets, as the rest of the stripped motel doesn't seem to have much else to find here.

    Search: (1b) Floors 11-20
You arrive at the Sunspot Apartment Tower at night, and it seems most Pokémon who live here have gone to sleep and have turned out the lights, but there are still plenty of night owls that remain up even at these hours. You decide to continue the search around the middle floors, starting with Floor 11. After taking the elevator up, you then get to work.

As you soon realize, most of the apartments here seem pretty normal. Some are occupied while others are vacant at the moment. Those that do have something often have Pokémon that have stable and dependable jobs, but they're not rich by any means and have the general, typical possession like computers, holoscreen televisions, and decent typical home furniture. But things like expensive jewelry and the like are definitely not common here.

You observe this pattern continues through most of the apartments on these floors. When you get to the sixth floor, only two of the apartments on this level are occupied, one by a young male Houndoom and the other occupied by an elderly female Persian. Their apartments don't seem suspicious, but one vacant one across from the Houndoom's looks like it was used recently even though there's no official occupant in there.

You look around inside and at first, it seems like someone's been using it as a makeshift office. There are scribbled notes and papers in an illegible chicken-scratched rushed doctor's writing that are nearly impossible to read and decipher. You shift through the notes to realize there's something glowing in the dark here, which definitely gets your attention. When you dig it out, it seems to be a ring-shaped metallic object about the size and shape of a donut. The metal is unlike anything you've seen before and the artistic engravings on it definitely couldn't have been done by hand. They also depict incredible otherworldly scenes. Things like a city on a floating island and a castle in the clouds are just a few of the depictions, and the engravings are incredibly detailed.

Meanwhile, the metallic frame-like object feels comforting to touch and hold. It puts you in a state of ease, even though it seems to be only part of something else that looks like it was broken apart. There are groves and ridges on the inside where it seems other components belong.

You decide to take it with you.

Item [Celestial Compass Frame] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You continue your search through the rest of the floors, but you don't find anything out of the ordinary that raises any suspicions. Satisfied with your search, you head out of the building and back into the night streets.

    Search (85) Solace Plaza
Solace Plaza is a quiet, clean, and pretty place. The benches all look clean enough to sit on, the trees are all healthy and tall, and there's even a bed of flowers in the very centre. There are a few open areas where kids can play ball, and even a drawing wall which is covered in appropriate art and writing which has been allowed by the local council.

You walk past a small fountain littered with old-fashioned coins at the bottom, and begin to hear a strange noise. You follow the sound and eventually come across a small pink Pokémon levitating around in a constant circle. There's an down-turned painting in a common frame lying in the centre of where the creature is circling. You can hear him muttering to himself, and every time he turns his round body so you can see his face, you can see that it is twitching and scrunched up. You suspect that this Pokémon might be in a bit of pain or discomfort, and as you approach to ask, you make yourself visible.

The Munna is startled when you come within a close vicinity to him, and he immediately shoots out a wave of psychic energy at you. You manage to dodge it and then try to reason with him.

"Can't sleep...can't sleep. I can't sleep! Need to...get out. Need to escape. I need to get out of here," he mutters inwardly, rocking back and forth in midair. Then he stares you dead in the face. "I need a hit. Get me one now. Get me an Adrenaline Syringe." The Pokémon looks down, pointing to the painting with his short trunk. "This...you can have it if you g-get me what I want. Get me what..." He blinks, then begins to emit a psychic barrier blocking you from getting any closer. You try to penetrate it, but it seems impassable.

Object {Deranged homeless Munna: Adrenaline Syringe} was noted in the Team Records.

As much as you don't want to give this Munna what he's asking for, you can't help but feel that this painting will have some significance in the future. You decide to search the rest of the plaza in the meantime, but find nothing to report back to your teammates aside from this unhinged Munna's demands.

You leave the plaza, a little disappointed there wasn't more here to find.
