You head to the Silvercoal Medical Center, which is a massive building and always seems to be active regardless of the time of day.

You head inside and begin searching the lower basement levels. Here are the surgical rooms, but unlike hospitals and medical facilities for humans, here the rooms come in all kinds of sizes and shapes, and so do the surgical tools and equipment. On top of that, many of these devices are very high tech and are able to perform operations that Pokémon cannot do by hand.

As you can see, for a lot of these surgical procedures, commands and operations are done via computer so as to minimize the chance of error. Robotic equipment is very common as well. Operating rooms are also prepared for all kinds of medical staff. As you watch some of these surgeries in progress, you can see that the procedures are somewhat similar to the kinds that humans perform, but now many Pokémon of varying sizes, types, and specialties are involved in each of these operations.

One of the other observations you make is that there are more surgeons on staff. Many of them are not only specialized on certain organs, but also on particular types of Pokémon. As you could imagine, it must be harder for these Pokémon to account for so many more cases and Pokémon autonomies than humans who all generally have the same body characteristics. As a result, there are far more rooms and floors devoted to these many and specialized surgeries.

While going through the halls, you also come across an administrative room filled with a lot of books, manuals, and procedural documents. Everything seems to be very tidy and orderly in this room and everything, including the computers and logbooks, seems to be in easy access and working order. However, after taking a glance at a nearby metal table, you come across a very different type of page that looks like it had been recently torn up. When you get close to it, you feel a kind of otherworldly presence coming from it and you get a feeling that it doesn't belong here and someone must have planted it here. It definitely doesn't seem like a surgical or medical-related document. It also seems like the other surgeons and medical staff that come here on a regular basis never noticed it either.

You gather up the pieces and take them with you.

=Instructions= has been added to the Team Records.

After doing one last check around the surgical wings, it seems everything has been checked. You decided to head back up to the surface and return to base.

    {Search: (48b) Balek Manufacturing Plant Floors 11-20}
You return to Balek Manufacturing long after the sun has set. Your inner flame lights your path as you float through, and subtly you're glad for Mew's gift of what is essentially invisibility, for giving off such a strong light may alert people to your presence in the darkness otherwise.

You phase through the floors until you reach floor 11, where you begin your search for the night. You are silent as you float through the air, trying to use your ghostly senses to detect life or anomalies. The powers given to you by Mew also give you a sixth sense, which enables you to effectively do the same thing. It's how you found your previous discoveries, and as you begin to feel something again, you know it'll be how you find this one, too.

You follow your metaphorical nose to the floor above, then the floor above that until you feel the sensation's strength reach its peak. Rather than the scary, blood-curdling and foreboding feeling that twisted your insides and nearly turned your flame green when you unearthed the Foolish Flute, this feeling is lighter, more innocent, and you get the feeling that although it has an extremely powerful pull, it is not of Stalker origin. Following this hunch, you begin to search every room on the floor, being drawn toward a room down a short hall which looks like it serves as an office. You can see that the furniture inside is sparse and modest, although from lack of funds or personal preference you are unable to determine.

After scanning the room, you draw nearer to the rug under the desk and lift it up with your ghostly telepathy, and you spot a hole in the floor guarded by a padlock. You scoff at the padlock and phase through the flooring, finding yourself in a tiny room which is obviously not meant to fit anyone inside. Using your flame, you light your surroundings and can almost see the glowing piece of paper inside a folder amongst some important documents. Curiously you pick it up, phasing out of the floor so you can read it in a larger space.

You narrow your eyes, knowing that you'll be able to crack this code just as you cracked the last one. Shrig already had a go at the key and confirmed four letters, so all you have to do is fill in the rest back at the clubhouse. Whatever it is, it appears to be some kind of incantation to activate something. You imagine that when you find out what, you'll need to apply it to whatever is inactive in order to trigger its awakening.

Object =Ancient Language Incantation= was added to the Team Records.

You sense nothing else within the floors you had planned to search, so you fly out of the building and head back to your base.

    Alright. Deep breaths.

I use Restrain on Nairek the Martacus. I'll not mince words here, but I do believe that in her current condition she will probably think of me as a privately-hired detective from out of the city, or such. I'll ask the following questions:

-What is your current and previous employment status, and how did they terminate, if at all?
-what is your current opinion of Mustle, your mate?
-What is your opinion on the Late Rusco the Primeape and Satia the Manetric?
-Do you have any, any knowledge of this note? It was found in your house. In plain sight. (I show her the note in conjunction, from a safe distance).

If things do not turn out as I expect them to (horribly in the badthingshappen.gif sense), we have a Stalker. If not, well. We'll see. This is the big one. This could go really badly.

After getting the all-clear from the police force, you wait patiently at the Emissary Clubhouse in preparation for when Nairek shows herself. You suspect that she isn't going to be happy, but you have plenty of questions prepared and a strong desire to get a definite answer: is she innocent, or is she a Stalker?

You hear the distant sounds of a struggle accompanied by muffled squeals, cries of protest, and an exceptional amount of tussling and resistance. You imagine that the first-class citizen isn't used to being handcuffed, blindfolded and gagged, but you hardly bat an eyelid at the concept. You know that this is necessary if you are to get answers.

Finally Nairek is thrust into the room you're waiting for her in while you remain seated on the floor across from a restraint chair. The two police officers who escorted her - a Simisear and a Gallade - strap her in to the chair as you stare at her from your position, which you continue to do when they remove her gag and blindfold, and leave the room. You meet her frightened eyes as she pulls against the straps holding her in and immediately tries to unleash a Grass-type attack. She soon finds out that the special attachments to the chair are resistant to any type of move. Again she tries, and her futility continues to come to her as a shock. When she stops struggling, she lifts her head slowly, an intense glower etched into her tear-stained face.

"How dare you throw me around, then strap me down like some sort of feral. How DARE YOU!" she screams, a fleck of her saliva flying from her mouth and splattering on the floor in front of you. You look at it nonchalantly as she hisses, "Legend or not, you have no right to do this to me! I DEMAND to be released, or so help me, I will sue the ribbons off your arse!"

All at once you close in on her, mere hairs away from her face, and she instantly cowers, beginning to whimper quietly before she puts a stop to her reaction and transforms her face into one of silent outrage and bewilderment. Her breathing becomes uneven and you can see tears forming in her eyes once again.

    "Just...let me out...now."

You stop her there, robbing her of any explanation to the following questions and commence the interrogation. You ask about her current employment status, her previous job, and then how she came to leave her job. It catches her off guard, and she shakes her head.

"No. I'm not telling you a damn thing until my lawyer gets here."

You tell her that her lawyer won't be coming. Shock grips her expression and she swallows a lump in her throat, trying to remain collected and evidently failing.

"If I tell you what you want to know, will you let me go?" she growls, already sounding defeated. You don't give her a definite answer, but your calm eyes provide her with enough hope to continue. "I worked as a sales rep at a fashion company," she explains, venom still thick in her voice. "I left because of bullying accusations. That tauros-crap that unreliable cop goes around spouting about me getting fired is ludicrous. I left because I didn't need a job. My husband provides everything I need, and the sales job was just a little extra income." She listens to you as you ask about Dominique. "Ugh, that timid little lizard-bird can't take a joke. And yeah, I might have been a bitch to her, but hell, she couldn't do anything friggin' right! She left right before I did and went to some factory where she didn't have to make a fool of herself in front of the general public or whatever."

You enquire next about her mate, Mustle, who is a Cacturne. She narrows her eyes.

"Oh Mew," she breathes, suddenly adopting a newfound fear. "You're a kidnapper!" she accuses, then follows up with a spiel about how much money she would offer you to release her now, before any ransom needed to be made. You quickly correct her and she seems more lost than before, and annoyed in addition. "Well what the hell is this about, then?!" When you refuse to answer, she emits a throaty scoff and decides to continue in the hopes that it could lead her closer to freedom. "Mustle and I are great. I love him, and he loves me. He's always there for me, unlike my fake goddamn friends. We're a happily married couple. And the fact that you have the nerve to bring him up sickens me...using family against your victim. You're despicable."

Although you are aware that Mustle has plans for divorce, you realise that Nairek is in no way aware of this. She genuinely believes that her relationship with her mate is smooth and flawless. You make a note of this, then question her on the subject of Rusco, one of Philter's victims.

Nairek sighs, trying absentmindedly to free an arm from the straps. "I didn't know him well. He was friends with lizard-bird, and I met him a few times when we worked together. Unlike her, he was actually socially capable. He was modest, always polite and...it's a shame that he got killed by that thing. That Stalker thing." She visibly shudders, clearly uncomfortable with the subject.

You then ask about Satia. The Maractus' face immediately falls and her face twitches a few times. For a moment you're unsure what's going to happen next, but your question is answered when tears begin snaking down her green cheeks.

Her face is taken by grief as she cries, as if she has never spoken of Satia's death before and the mere mention of it was a trigger. She finally gets a breath, trying desperately to shake the tears off her face as humiliation begins to worm its way through her mind. She seems to calm down after a few seconds. "I've...I haven't discussed her death with anyone yet," she mentions, staring at the floor. Her mouth twitches in contempt. "Until now." She lifts her head, glaring into your eyes. "We were best friends. I've known her for years, and she..." Her speech was cut off there as more bundled tears unravelled and she blubbered to herself, memories flooding her mind and sadness encasing her thoughts. "I never got to say goodbye... We were meant to catch up this weekend. But we...but she...never got the chance..."

She pulls herself back together after you leave her for a few minutes. She rights herself and adopts an attempted neutral expression which merely projects her tiredness and sadness. She sniffs. "The proof is in her apartment... Jetstone Apartment Building, floor 8. Apartment 84." She rocks her head from side to side, clearly still in distress but too exhausted to exhibit it properly.

You take a few steps back and then grab the confession you found in Nairek's apartment, and bring it to a safe distance. You ask her plainly about it.

The Grass-type is taken aback. "What...what is that?" she queries, evidently confused. "That's not my handwriting. That was NOT in my house and--I am NOT a Stalker!" she shouts, trying harder than ever to wriggle out of the chair. Reality dawns on her that this investigation is why she's here, being restrained in this chair, which instantly terrifies her. A look of complete fear moulds her face as her body freezes. "No...that's not me. I would know. I was best friends with Satia! That note is a LIE!" she screeches, leaning forward as much as she can. "Please, you have to believe me. Why would I wrote a confession?! This is a setup!" She frantically throws her gaze about the room. "POLICE! POLICE! SECURITY!" Nobody comes to her calls, and still you sit while watching her.

Nairek has answered all your questions, and you know that you have done the best you can. She keeps shouting, trying to defend herself and claim it isn't true. She again directs you to Satia's apartment and insists on her love for Mustle. You keep all this in mind as you exit the room, leaving her restrained in the chair while readying yourself to relay this to your teammates.

As you exit the room, you hear one last plea.

    "I am not Philter!"

Search (29) Hazel Plaza (29b) Alleyway
You decide to head to Hazel Plaza, focusing your search on the alleyway. Even at night, Hazel Plaza seems like a comforting place away from the sinister west side and some of the more sketchier areas up north.

Around here, the stone tiled paths, park benches, and even the fountain in the middle are very well maintained and leaves you with a comforting feeling. The streetlamps make it easy to see and it gives you a feeling of security that it would be hard for a thief to attack with this illumination around the park. As you head toward the alleyway, you feel even this area is safe and isn't the kind of dark place you're likely to get mugged at night. On both sides, there are stone walls with services entrances and loading docks for the Superplex Shopping Center and the Silvercoal Medical Center.

Even the trash cans and dumpsters back here aren't that bad-looking either. The Pokémon here remove waste properly and don't leave trash or grime just laying around everywhere. At first, nothing seems all that suspicious, but you find there is a security camera monitoring the alleyway, attached to one of the walls of the Silvercoal Medical Center. It looks like one of the security cameras Fern mentioned before. You locate the security data module on the device and extract it from the camera.

Item [Security Data Module] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You check to see if anything else is around this area, but it seems like everything is accounted for and nothing else seems to strike you as unusual. You decide to head back to base and add the module to the collection.
