I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but you mentioned that you had more information on the Stalkers, the other night. Could you please tell me what you've discovered? No matter how small it seems, everything helps. I'm sure a cop like you knows that as well as anyone.

Also, I have to ask - how well do you know Rabukan the Druddigon? Between Krum's death and some of our findings, there's shady business going on around her. I'm not trying to directly accuse anyone right now, but if she could be in trouble, or causing trouble, we need to know.

    Interview 10. Pormalu the Arcanine.
    Interview Rapport: NEUTRAL, MODEST
    +Modesty (Fairy vs Fire)

You approach Pormalu in the wake of Fern's death while he is at the police station, seemingly overwhelmed with the paperwork and the loss of his colleague. You express your sympathies for his loss, and he turns to you and nods.

"Fern died a hero," he tells you, looking sincere, "although from what we found, pain and death was the price. But what she did reminds us that we can't stop and give in to what we are dealing with here."

"I know you and the other Emissaries have also had your hands full," Pormalu tells you, understanding that it has been a struggle for everyone trying to put an end to the Stalkers. "But, despite the troubles we've all had, I did have more information which hopefully will be useful to you."

"I had a recent report come in from by call center," Pormalu explains. "Apparently, Dachi, the landlord of Ironrock Apartments, reported seeing something like an unusual, scratched piece of metal on the 28th floor in room 2830. Normally, I would dismiss that as being nothing unusual, but she mentioned that the room that was supposed to be vacant was full of scratches as well, but there wasn't anyone in her tenant list that was supposed to be there. We haven't had the chance to directly investigate it, especially with Fern's death, but it's something we need to consider looking into."

"While we've been doing our own investigations, we've decided to take things one step further," Pormalu informs you as he shows you some hand-written notes in a somewhat scrawl-like handwriting. "We decided to cut the city squatters a break in exchange for any information that they find around town. Though what they do is illegal trespassing, we're desperate for information and they need amnesty. Surprisingly, the plan has been effective. One Azumarill squatter mentioned seeing an usually warped door on the fourth sublevel of the Inspiration Chemical Plant. He mentioned the warping looking intentional and that it looked like it had been recently used. Thankfully, our pact with the squatters has been helping us identify what the Stalkers have been handling while they're more aware of where their own are."

"Lastly, they also think there's a link in the basement floors of the old Dovac Foods Manufacturing Plant," Pormalu explains. "One squatter had to be admitted to the hospital after they saw something that gave them significant mental trauma. In exchange for his report, we offered to pay for his medical care, which includes injuries not related to this incident. Still, what he found sounds like the work of a Stalker. It's definitely something that I'm hoping one of you can investigate. Right now, we're understaffed and without Fern, we're even more limited in what we can do."

You then ask about Rabukan the Druddigon and the shady business.

"Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to question Rabukan personally," Pormalu tells you, beginning to wonder if there's something up with her. "Normally, I'd like to think of someone as selfless as a firefighter would be trustworthy, but it's wrong to assume anything right now. If I manage to get the opportunity, I will ask her, but I don't know how effective it would be."

"Hopefully what Dachi reported and what those squatters found is a helpful lead," Pormalu tells you. "If this works well, I'll continue working with the local squatters to see what they can find. Maybe changing our strategy like this will help, and maybe this will be something the Stalkers won't anticipate. If everyone works together, we can pull through this."

Madder has decided to use Police Station Basement Key on (15) Silvercoal City Police Station {Outdoor Basement Entry: Impenetrable Doors} to delete Obven's criminal record in exchange for intel on Stalkers.
You decide to take the Police Station Basement Key to the police station. Thankfully, after taking a look around, no one seems to be around, so you swipe the key and the doors unlock.

Item [Police Station Basement Key] has been removed from the Team Inventory.

You then make your way inside and take a look around.

There definitely seem to be many important things to the police down here. The armory is down here as well as the mainframe computer. You decide to head to the computer and you see the police computer server is online at all times. Beside of that, the administrator access is online all the time, as it seems Pormalu didn't think anyone who had the key to the basement would be wiping criminal records.

You decide to dig your way into Obven's criminal record files and it seems what he said is true. There are multiple cases of theft, vandalism, and several murder charges. It also seems like the Silvercoal City police force has been looking to bring him in for quite some time. Pages and pages of evidence logs and photographs are on his file, but you decide to delete everything and wipe his record clean. When you finish, Ovben the Goomy isn't even in the system anymore and now there is nothing that can be tied to him. You print a page of the criminal record file as the proof you need to show to Ovben that the task was completed.

    MISSION COMPLETE: SUCCESSFUL!
Rapport with #10 Pormalu the Arcanine has been permanently damaged.
Rapport with #11 Sequintia the Pyroar has been permanently damaged.
Rapport with #92 Lychee the Scolipede has been permanently damaged.

With your task done, you decide to exit out of the criminal record system and leave everything back the way you found it. You're curious as to what Obven has to say now that your side of the deal is done.

You then head back out of the building and walk the streets like nothing ever happened.

You head to the lower basement levels of the Newhill Sewage Treatment Plant, which, as you imagine, probably aren't going to be the cleanest and most delightfully fragrant places in the city. When you get there, the smell is the first thing that gets you, but you eventually get used to it.

Everything down below from the walls, floor, and ceiling are solid concrete and stone. It's also definitely a pretty dirty place as you imagine considering what the plant deals with on a day to day basis, it's never, ever going to be completely sanitary. It would have to shut down to ever get to that point, and you imagine there wouldn't be a whole lot of Pokémon signing up to be volunteers to sign up for that task of cleaning up the whole place until it sparkles.

The lighting is also dim, some of the bulbs have burned out, the plant only uses what lighting that needs to be used just to basically see the bare minimum. But all around you, vast containers of dirty, smelly, and murky water exist. And you know that it would take weeks to wash off the fecal muck if any unfortunate soul were to accidently trip into one of those massive vats of pure sewage.

Off to the side, you see several maintenance areas that look like they haven't been used in years. The area was supposed to be blocked off, but you see that it looks like someone has been back here and been using the area for something. You take a deeper look around and when you come to a corner, a sudden v̒ͥ̿̑ͯͦ́͢i̧̢͒̂͆s̶̨̄͌i̎̒͂̆ͣo̡ͩ͊̎́ņ̔͐ͧ torments your mind.

Your jaw drops, your eyes roll back, and suddenly you feel like a zombie in a deranged state. You completely f̦̪͇͖͡o̧̠̺̲̩ͅr͚̠͔͕g̢͈e̢̝̰̰t͕̺̝͘ where you are and it seems like the village you're in has fallen under some hideous disease. Amia's Sanity has been reduced by 1.

You snap out of it and the burning vision you had to behold stands before you. It immediately gives you the chills and suddenly, out of the blue, an irrational fear of sickness, plague, and pestilence crawls all throughout your spine...

You see that the chamber door has a holder for some kind of spherical object and a cup. The plaque below reads:

Return the Globe of Torment and prepare the offering of pestilence. Or I will simply make a twisted juxtaposition of your soul.

You decide to use some Venoshock poison on the offering cup, and it seems to work. The cup is pulled back into the door and there is an unlocking click sound, but you don't seem to have the Globe that is being requested. You figure you might want to get onto that soon, as while you aren't sure what the "twisted juxtaposition of your soul" means, you're quite sure that can't possibly be good.

Locked Door {Chamber of the Plague: Missing Torment Globe, +Poison Type} #Infernal Presence# (Deals One Damage to Sanity) has been noted in the Team Records.

You decide to head out of there and unfortunately, those visions of pestilence and plague are recalled as you have to endure the smells and sights of the sewage treatment vats down here.

You look down through the drain holes and you see the binder that was mentioned before. You then decide to squeeze your way through the largest drain hole and make your way down. Even a small Pokémon like you is just barely able to do it, but you're able to just make it down without hurting yourself.

Once inside, you head to the bottom, where it's slightly wet and dark. You grab the binder and take it with you. You slide it out of the hole first, and then hoist yourself up and out of the drain opening. It's another tight struggle, but eventually you do make your way out and can now take a closer look at the binder. It seems to be a file for a vendor quality improvement program with an angry note written on the dirty cover.

Looking inside, you see many accounting records fudged around with, and even despite the fact the pages are a bit dirty from the rainwater, they're still perfectly legible. While your knowledge of accounting records is limited, even with the little you know you can tell there is a lot of serious accounting fraud going on. Enough to the point where it could put whoever is responsible for it behind bars for a long time and possibly shut down the entire company.

Search (22) The Diadem Building (22a) Floors 1-10 (Mayton Foods)
You head inside the large corporate office building and begin your search with the first ten floors, which belong to a corporation called Mayton Foods. From what you learn early on, this corporation handles many supermarket chains throughout the world and are also a major distributor.

The offices are in relatively good shape, even though a lot of the employees seem to be missing. It looks like things have been quiet lately, but you don't see anything suspicious or out of the ordinary when taking a look around the manager and director offices and where the rows of cubicles are.

Still, besides the lack of employees, there really doesn't seem to be anything that seems to point toward the Stalkers. It seems at least this area hasn't received their dark attention at the moment, though it hasn't helped when it comes to employees fleeing or wanting to work from home.

When you get the eight floor, you notice this particular floor is very empty and the lights have been turned off. It seems like this particular area should have been used, but almost no one seems to be around. You do, however, come across a table near a row of cubes and it seems like a strange root is on it. You take a closer look and it seems to be radiating a kind of potent energy. You decide to take it with you, as it would probably go bad before anyone else comes up here to find it.

Item [Energy Root] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You head up to check the ninth and the tenth floor, but the story seems to be pretty much the same. For some Pokémon, work seems to be an escape from the fear and is their only means to keep a livelihood going, while for others, it seems fear has gotten the best of them.

Despite the west side of Silvercoal City being a dirty, abandoned mess, this sizable factory that specializes in the production of glass for all kinds of varying purposes seems to be doing quite well. From a first glance of the exterior, the building is also well-maintained save for a few dirty blemishes here and there that aren't anything major. Considering what the rest of the industrial neighborhood looks like, it's a white rose in the middle of a field of ashes.

You decide to head into the building and search the highest floors. Inside, the production lines and rooms are actually quite clean even though the areas around the building are in such stark contract in comparison. The rooms are made of clean, white tile, white-painted walls, and the metal machines and equipment are in good condition and are well-maintained.

Regardless, you find that here, despite the Stalkers and what they've been doing, honest and effective work is being done throughout the day. Large sheets of glass are being created, cut to size, and carefully prepared for shipment. It gives you a sense of security and for a moment, it allows you to forget about the Stalkers for a moment. It makes you wonder if that's what helps the factory workers here also.

As you search through the lines, you find one factory line overseer station and at first, it doesn't seem like anything about it stands out. However, about a second feeling, you get the sense that there is still something here that doesn't belong. In fact, you end up playing a game of hot and cold when searching through it, because it feels like some of the dark essence of the Stalkers still persists here even though it's definitely not that obvious at all and only exists as a very small trace amount. If you weren't an Emissary, you wouldn't even sense it at all. And you're quite convinced the Pokémon that work here don't even suspect a thing.

After searching deeply into this overseer station among the notebooks. ledgers, equipment pieces, and a factory line computer, you trace the dark radiation from the key rack, which you then sense it coming from one key in particular. You side it off the rack and see three letters written on the base of the key. C, P, and Y. It's quite clear the other Pokémon that work here don't know the purpose of the key, but you have a very strong feeling it doesn't belong here and isn't for anything within this facility. You decide to take it with you.

Item [CPY Key] has been added to the Team Inventory.

Once you finish searching the rest of the area, you don't find anything else that stands out, but you are a bit comforted about the state of the building. Despite what goes on, places like these still work on and it gives you a sense of hope and stability.

But, considering it's on the seven floor, you'd rather not use seven flights of stairs...

When you find Maknon, he seems to be quite depressed even though he usually seems like a Pokémon that stays optimistic. However, when you approach him, he seems to have his spirits lifted. Almost immediately, the small panda Pokémon looks up to you with a sense of hope.

"Oh, finally!" Maknon tells you with a sense of elation. "I was really starting to give up hope anyone would ever help."

He takes a deep breath. It seems a lot of thoughts have been swimming around his head lately, but he knows how important this matter is.

"To make a long story short, I live with my brother Nykal on the 7th floor of the Brook Heights Building," Maknon begins. "Or... I used to. Nykal has been missing for the past week and I have no idea what happened to him. And with these Stalkers going around, I'm seriously worried sick. I'm sincerely hoping to see him walk through the door rather than the cops with some bad news."

MISSION OPENED: Find Maknon's brother Nykal!

"Listen, I know you guys are busy hunting down the Stalkers," Maknon tells you, understanding things from your point of view despite his wishes. "Still, it would mean everything to me if you found Nykal safe and sound. I don't know what I'd do without him and in a dark time like this, I really could use his help just trying to get from day to day."

You ask for some clues about what might have happened to Nykal, and Maknon nods.

"Well, about a week ago, he left to go to work," Maknon tells you, trying his best to recall the details. "The hovercar we have is kind of shabby, but it's better than nothing. Now, I'm not sure what happened, but I got a call from his office. He works at the power plant, but the day he went missing, I got a phone call from his boss asking where he was, and I told him I didn't know. He told me he usually uses the hangar to park, but I don't know what happened between then and him starting his shift at the plant."

"Unfortunately, the police have their hands so full right now," Maknon sighs. "Please, if you can keep a look out for him, it would mean the world to me."
