Everyone has a dream that fills their heart. A journey they must take. A destiny to fulfill. As close as your imagination exists a magical place, where wondrous creatures with incredible powers help make dreams come true. It's the world of Pokemon!!"
Eddie's plan was simply to get to know the townspeople before he started actually interviewing them about the Stalkers. He figured he might have more luck in getting info if he had some sort of relationship with them. With this in mind, Eddie left it up to Pixel to get the book so he could talk to another Pokémon to get to know them.

You find Zem on the streets just outside of the Whitehall Apartment Building, seeming content with the prospect of living homeless without a place to be tied down to. Other Pokémon don't seem to pay too much mind to him and the small satchel of belongings he has, but despite all the other things going on, he seems content.
You approach him and introduce yourself, and he seemed happy for the fact that it isn't very often he gets visitors, let alone anyone that even wants to talk to him. He seems to appreciate your presence and already looks to you as a friend.
"Hello Kames," Zem smiles. "It's great to meet you."
You inquire for some information about the Stalkers, and Zem nods respectfully.
"I have sensed a lot of fear about the Stalkers lately, but we can't give in to such things," Zem tells you, trying to keep a relaxed optimism about him with this difficult subject. "Unlike what most Pokémon believe, there is something beyond even this world that seeks to step into what we know. I have tried to explain this to other Pokémon, but... unfortunately they don't always believe a homeless Litwick like myself."
"Listen," Zem speaks up again, "I came across something the other day and I just can't figure it out. It's in pieces and it seems like someone wanted this thing destroyed, but yet... something about it feels pure and holy in nature. But me... I just can't. I don't have the knowledge to fix things like this. You seem like someone I can trust and would probably make better use of it than I can. Maybe you should take a look at it."
Zem hands you what seem to be ripped up pages of a book, but like he mentioned, something about them feels holy and spiritual in nature. You feel with your skills, it's something you might be able to reassemble... whatever this is. Using your repair skills, you're able to restore the pieces into a form that could be reassembled. All that's left is to place them back together.
=??? Codex Pages:<Repair>= has been noted in the Team Records.
It feels like someone or something wanted this destroyed, but even these pieces have persisted in the aftermath of whatever had happened to destroy these pages like this. To you, it seems strange and suspicious that someone would want to do this, but you feel it might be best to undo the damage that was done to whatever this was.
"I'm not sure if it's related to the Stalkers," Zem tells you. "But whatever it is, I hope it's helpful to you. Thanks for offering to help us all."

Excuse me, Honchkrow - Brenne, right? It's great to meet you! Could I just get a few moments of your time, so that you could tell me a little bit about yourself and your city?

Although you know that Brenne the Honchkrow is a citizen in Silvercoal City, you have an enormous amount of trouble locating her. The only reason you manage to find her is because, like her, you can soar just below the clouds and survey what lies down below. You spotted her on the roof of the Dakin Apartment Tower, and soared down to greet her. She is surprised by your entry and jumps, clearly on edge as she studies you with her eyes until you speak.
"Why...why yes, that's me. How did you..." She narrows her eyes suspiciously, then takes a step forward. Her wary expression melts into one of amusement and mild excitement, and she presents you with a large grin. "Well, well! Seems we have a curious one!" She takes an overly exaggerated bow, throwing one wing up as the other crosses her chest. She angles back up but her wings remain. "I am Brenne, as you know, and I am...a master thief." She whispers the final two words and flutters over you, landing behind you and throwing a wing over your back.
"Look, pal. I know you could down me in one Dazzling Gleam, but 'ey, let's not consider that option right now. Ya see, I can help you out. I can teach you things. Things that'll help you with these dastardly Stalkers." She separates from you and hops in front of you, lightly poking your patterned belly with the tip of her wing. "You look like the, err...protective type, right? I'm prob'ly right. But girl, you've gotta learn to get yourself out of sticky situations...and rescue your friends." She leaps onto a rickety antenna, trying to hide the fact that she's struggling to maintain balance. "You're an Emissary. I know, I know, I shouldn't know that...but I do. And I know you're going to need to save your friends, right? Set them free if they get captured? That's where I come in!"
She thuds before you again, whipping out a pamphlet seemingly from nowhere. "This is me! Ya seen it? You found this pamphlet yet?" She continues to look at you, but realises the answer. "Right, well, you'd have found this on Floor Thirty-Five of Ironrock Apartments. No use now, is it?" She tossed it behind her without removing her eyes from you, and you watch the pamphlet disappear off the rooftop. "So if any of you guys want to come learn Escape/Rescue, meet me on the rooftop and I can give you some lessons!"
"There are a few other Skill Teachers around the city who can help you learn a second skill! But we don't network, and even if we did, I wouldn't give you their names... Sorry. Precautions and all. Plus...I'm probably wanted by the police, so, heh, don't go spreading my name around." She gives you another sly smile and beats her wings once, getting ready to take off. "See ya round, Velo. It was nice to make your acquaintance. And remember: escaping danger is surviving!"
Brenne takes to the skies, disappearing behind some buildings.

You find Pasco the Jigglypuff leaving the Cloudrise Tower, where it seems she lives. She has a positive and jovial nature to her, and when you introduce yourself, she seems happy to see you even though you are a stranger to her.
"Hi there, Guzma!" Pasco cheerfully tells you. "How goes things?"
You inquire about the Stalkers, and she nods with a slight frown as it's not a pleasant subject for her.
"Yeah..." she replies, looking away. "I'll be honest, I don't know very much about the Stalkers but I know they've done a lot of terrible things I'm glad I didn't get to see. I live at the Cloudrise Tower, but I'm almost certain there aren't any criminals or thugs there! Plus, I'll be honest, it's expensive to live there and I just barely make the rent. I doubt any low lives would be able to afford living in a place like that. And I'd move out if it wasn't such a nice place! I think it's worth the cost, though!"
At that moment, it seems she is reminded of something.
"You know, the other day when my shift was over, I decided to check out the You Remembered gift store and see if I could get a nice gift for my sister for her birthday," Pasco tells you. "She really likes collecting decorative plates so I got her two really beautiful ones there. They had something else on display there that caught my eye. While I was browsing around, I saw some kind red gem they had on display there. Very beautiful and definitely unlike anything I've ever seen before. It definitely wasn't like the rest of the rest of the stuff they had there. I dunno, maybe I'm just being dreamy! It's a great store anyway, so if you're looking for a great gift, I highly recommend it! Heck, I often shop there just to get stuff for myself!"
"Well, hope you see you again soon, Guzma!" Pasco tells you as she's preparing to go take care of some errands. "I have a few things to do, but I'll gladly have a chat with you again whenever you'd like! Good luck with your searches!"
She then heads off, still trying to keep a cheerful composure despite the state of things around her.

You approach Cinci, who seems to work at the North Metro Station, but she seems distracted and only has been doing her job as a ticket seller and customer service representative half-heartedly. When the crowd breaks up and goes, you approach her.
"Oh, what now?" she asks when she realizes she can't go on break just yet.
You introduce yourself to her and she seems a bit surprised.
"Well, you just came out of nowhere," she replies. "Yeah, it's a lowly job but it pays, huh? Hey, better than nothing! Where do you work anyway?"
But she doesn't wait for an answer as she paces a bit. She winces for a moment, but then looks up to you. It seems she is a bit regretful for having snapped at you, but you can see in her eyes that she seems tired and very anxious.
"Okay, I... I could use some help," Cinci tells you, looking very somber all of a sudden. "Sorry for... acting like a jerk, but no one has been willing to help me and I'm out of friends to look to, so maybe... you can help me."
"It's my aunt," Cinci explains, looking melancholy. "She went missing a few days ago and I tried to explain it to the police, but noooo, they're out trying to find the Stalkers and so many other victims! Yeah, let's go find dead Pokémon rather than ones that might still be alive, huh!? So I get thrown under the rug when I try to talk with them after work and wow. And I've got long shifts so I can't look for her on my own and I sure can't afford to lose my job. Her name is Clementine and she's a Sawsbuck. I've asked people around if they've heard of where she might be and nobody knows and nobody seems to care. So please, Sam, if you've got a heart, you've got to find her. I haven't been able to sleep or get her off my mind and I can't afford to get fired for it. It would mean a ton if I knew at least someone was out there searching for her."
"So could you help me, please!?" Cinci begs. "I barely even know you but I feel like you're all I have left."

Search (4) Black Rose Funeral Home
She/Her pronouns please![]()
You approach the Black Rose Funeral Home which is on a large, lush property. Its location right beside the park, helps to give it a serene feel despite the building's purpose. You can tell that the garden has been well maintained, so Carmin, the Gothitelle who runs the funeral home, must deem its appearance important.
You begin searching the exterior, where it is possible someone may have hid something. However, you find nothing of importance and carefully head on inside. The daylight is fading, but you can still see everything with ease. You start with the foyer, where you find nothing really of note. There are some brochures for the funeral home and grief counselling, as well as some waiting chairs, as well as decorative flowers. Next you head into what looks to be Carmin's office. You begin to look around and can't see much out of the ordinary. There's a picture of a Kirlia on her desk, who you figure has some significance to her. Suddenly a pamphlet which wasn't out in the foyer catches your eye. It appears to be one similar to the one that Velo found, except it's advertising a different skill. You pick it up and read it.
"Brought to you by Innocuous Investigations: See Lora the Kirlia to learn how to Investigate!"
The pamphlet is simple and plain, but you decide that it's worth taking note of what it's telling you.
You look around the rest of the home, but nothing seems out of place. You figure that there is nothing else here.
