Oh this. Watching movies that you saw as a kid and how they evolved over time makes you feel old. Same thing with video games. I played Revolution X in the arcade and I thought it was the coolest and most realistic game ever at the time. Then, I went to Yestercades and played it again so many years later. URF, it looked like a cheesy, pixelated mess to me now! In one way, it's crazy to think what video games looked like twenty years ago, but it does get me excited to think about what they'll look twenty years from now! Wow, and to think I'll be 55 then. Too many things, like
1.When someone loves the cover of a song that i listened to in my youth and thinks it's the original, I.E. "Just a friend" covered by Mario, but originally done by Biz Markie.
2.Realizing that that Mario song came out 15 years ago and it made me feel old back then, makes me feel even older now
3.When I no longer get carded for alcohol, though I once was carded for buying cough syrup the same day I wasn't carded for buying some Jack, go figure.
4.When I watch a movie and relate to the parents better than the kids. Or even worse, when I sympathize with the slasher as he goes about killing all those loud kids partying in the forest...
5.When I sigh every time I sit down, or groan every time I get up.
6.When I have to use google translate just to understand something those young bucks are talking about.
7.And now...This thread
