Animals are awesome. They're interesting, can make you laugh, know what's important, and don't have things like egos, materialism, or frivolous crap. I VERY often wonder what it's like to be certain animals. Like if I see a squirrel, I kind of wonder what it would be like to be a day in the life of one. Or a bird, a cat, a rabbit, a dolphin, and so many others. Sometimes it's fun to just watch birds and see how they behave.
It would be funny and interesting to see what they think of people too. XD
I've always felt a strong love for animals. Far more so than humans. xD I think they're much more honest. I often feel deep connections with animals and I can't stand the thought of an animal in pain. I think it's important to respect all animals and to acknowledge that they are just as valid as humans. We're all Earthlings, and we all deserve life and peace. B)
animals are som off the best damn things on this planet
I've always liked animals, and for some reason all of my favourites are the black and white ones (penguins, zebras, pandas, and - excluding the beak - toucans). I was visiting somewhere on a university-related residential a few weeks ago and I saw a couple of swans, and they were really cool. For some reason most dogs scare me when they approach me, which all of my friends find quite funny.
Recently I've also started to feel sympathy for insects; whilst they terrify me (especially moths), I don't crush them like I would have before. What I do now is that I gently guide them out of the window, which is more satisfying even if it is a bit more work. My brother killed a daddy long-legs when I said it scared me and I felt really guilty. I still do, in all honesty. :(
