I've never worked retail before though. Not even out of high school. So yeah, I have no idea what it's like...

I tried that too, doesn't work. xD I DESPISE retail (well, people in general), but I eventually caved and tried to get a job in that field. Think I could? Nope! Even the RETAIL industry wants someone who's super over-qualified.

Yeah, I was kind of hoping to avoid direct contact with customers. Some people are so disrespectful for no good reason...

And yeah, I've heard retail nightmare stories. Maybe I should just keep trying with searching for jobs that match my background, even if it seems like things have been slow for the past year. With no previous retail experience and being over qualified with an MBA, it might not even turn up with anything good anyway.

I get that. :/ I worked at a drycleaners for my first job, and I was running around doing pretty much everything -- including customer service. it was all well and good until someone came in complaining we'd "ruined" something or "that wasn't there before". Then I got an earful when it wasn't even my job to do that kind of thing so I had to go call the manager. xD I WAS AN INNOCENT BYSTANDER.

I'd keep searching for what you want, unless you really need money, in which case just go for any old job. I was out of Uni a good year before I found work, and that was only because a friend referred me. *sighs*
