WOW! Story time. So, as I said yesterday, I was scheduled to get some major dental work done today. You wanna know something insane though? When I showed up, I was expecting my scheduled (essentially) ROOT CANAL. Then they were like, "Well, Mike, we have come up with a cheaper, less painful solution."

I was like, "What? What are you guys planning?"

Then the orthodontist is like, "You are getting braces for your upper teeth, effectively lowering the problem tooth."

Now, not wanting to go along with the painstaking operation that is, what was essentially a root canal, I said yes. So, long story short, I now have braces... WHAT THE HELL? Today was really unexpected...

Braces are annoying, but they're probably better then a root canal... =P

I have braces. They're not horrible but I can't wait until I get them off in the winter.

I used to cut my tongue on the wire all the time, but it's been fine ever since that stopped.

Yeah, I used to cut the side of my mouth on the wire.

I can't get braces, but my teeth aren't straight. I guess it's a good thing, since I heard braces are kinda painful (Even though it stops at one point). So, I think I might get that Invisaline thing, or some carbon copy or whatever...

There isn't really much pain at all TBH.

Seconded. Admittedly, it hurts to eat even the lightest foods after the first few days and then for about a day each time they're tightened, but it's not that bad after a while.
