It's just OK. There's a lot of cheesy gimmicks, but it's not bad. If fact playing the video games will probably help you learn how to play the actual card game much faster when you let the game calculate all the nonsense for you.
But if you really want to get into card games, I'd recommend Magic much more. But that makes your wallet lighter, also. :P
You need a great group of friends to play with. I had been out of the loop in Magic for almost a decade, and then a coworker of mine got me back into it and sometimes I'll play with the rest of his circle of friends. We've all been pretty busy though, lately. He just brought a house and so did one of his other friends.
I'm hoping to be able to do that soon, myself.
I gave up on YuGiOh back when GX was ending. Never really got into MTG. I got into Cardfight Vanguard a bit ago, still have my shadow paladin deck and other decks.
I liked collecting cards mostly. Dbz cards, Digimon, Pokemon (I MISS MY THREE STAR BABIES)
