I wasnt saying to scrap it, just try another one along with it, perhaps. But I digress! How about a challenge? Maybe you could try Electabuzz and Magmar? No specific order.

The edited version looks a bit better, it has more details, so thats a start. :>

Its best to start with Pokemon who have something relatively in common. Pidgey and Gyarados? Nothing except for their Flying type x]

Made this earlier, think it turned out pretty good considering I only fused 2 pokemon.

Was mucking around, got really inspired by this tutorial. Wanted to try more realistic pixel art, starting with...well, a fruit. A mangosteen, to be exact.

It consists of 32 colors. First realistic pixel art, I've got a long way to go / a lot to learn. Tried to use 50/50 dithering to help the colors blend...hmm. Oh, right: this image was my reference. I still need to add the second mangosteen there. Anti-aliased to fit well on a white / light-colored background, I will probably end up changing that....

Edit: now has an even 32 colors. A little smoother there on the highlight....

@Speed-X I love the fruit. O: It looks amazing. I think the shading looks accurate and it's extremely impressive. c: The 32 colour limit is also pretty restricting, so it's cool you could work with that sort of palette. I know the bulbarita is actually finished so I shan't comment on this WIP, although I'm sure you know I love it. C:

I took a look at the realistic pixel art tutorial by that phenomenal pixel artist and tried to compose a profile image of a Mass Effect character...

She has 28 colours...four to spare! xD

I'm not quite sure what else to do. =/ I know that the features are a little off and it's certainly not perfect, but it's the most detailed pixel artwork that I've ever done. xD It took me countless hours. I probably can't actually estimate. lel.

As for me, I've been fiddling around with DB's 16-color palette with... uh a tiny sprite:



Probably need to work on readability more, I guess. It's a rather confusing palette, but I like it a lot!

Thanks. :] WOW. For some reason I didn't even notice that until now... xD It looks totally wrong compared to the other detail I've done. Well. I suppose I found a use for those four extra colours. >:3 Thanks for your input! 8D

Nice sprite! Is that a rocket of some kind he's carrying? XD I quite like your style. The pose looks great and I like the detail you've managed to squeeze into such a small image. Great work! I don't really have anything to critique, haha.
