Hardly. Exploitation is a key. You do know that the light bulb you mentioned earlier wasn't invented by Thomas Edison, right? In fact, many of his inventions weren't even his. He just took credit for them. No determination or endurance there. Just intelligence and science, both things manipulation requires.
