Pokemon as Traditional Day of the Dead Art Style

Halloween is more then just scary and one artist decided to show just that.
Artist Aaron Bowersock decided that he wanted to show off Gen1 Pokemon in a unique and cool way. That is why he decided to draw all 150 Pokemon in the traditional Dia de los Muertos art style.
Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a holiday celebrated in Latino countries to honor the dead. This celebration has a unique art style where skeletons are depicted in a cartoonish style. You can see this style used in recent movies such as Book of Life and Disney’s upcoming movie, Coco. Dia de los Muertos starts on October 31st and ends on November 2nd.
Aaron Bowersock decided to take this unique style and apply it to our favorite Pokemon. It was a massive project that took years but Aaron did it. You can see Pokemon like Pikachu, Oddish and Mewtwo depicted as Dia de lose Muertos skeletons.
Visit PopMuetros to see all of Aaron’s work where each Gen1 Pokemon depicted as a Dia de lose Muertos skeletons.
