Despite all the new stuff they've added, I still haven't gone back to playing it.

I enjoyed it when it seemed like everyone was into it, but now that it seems like they're only a very small minority of people still playing, it's just eh. That and in order to really get to the places where I could make good use of GO, I'd have to hop into a car and drive somewhere. There's nothing really all that much within walking distance of where I am.

Same really. I mean the community Discord chat is still kind of active. Most groups are a good driving distance. I mean the Mewtwo event I have a ticket to is about an hour and a half away. That's a pretty considerable distance, but I'm gonna try.

It seems a lot of people are trying to move to the fake location thing. There's been a bunch of notices popping up about it. How people are only there with a small group and suddenly BOOM. A raid of 15-20 people are there in that group of 7 people.

It was fun when we had a large spoofing population because you could just ask for backup on a raid and they'd provide it. But we got a new admin for the group and he's banned all the spoofers, even the ones that were helping others. It just kinda killed the game.

Sometimes it's helped in smaller groups in need of a few more people for a raid. It's not all bad, but some people take serious offence to it all.

Yeah the new admin like took personal insult to it. Before he became admin i mentioned how I had briefly considered it because i didn’t have a lot of time to walk around and since I lacked a car going to a popular raid spot nearby was not convenient. He like exploded at me and demanded that i swear to never spoof or be banned from the group. I was like “you’re not even a mod so no.” So he tries to get me kicked and then the admins at the time were like “that’s stupid leave the kid be”

Yeah I remember you telling us about it. In certain cases it is a good thing. If it's used for good. Not for just your own personal gain. Why some people act so strongly behind it I don't know. Who knows, maybe he does it himself and just acts all high and mighty.

Yeah helping out others in raids is helpful. And not everyone has the luxury of traveling the world to catch em all either. So what would the harm be in that I'd think.

Yeah I was thinking the region exclusives would be useful for spoofing, but also there are certain pokémon that I really want that just don't spawn anywhere near my campus, but there's a nest for them like an hour away. I don't see any harm in popping over to the nest.
