Been a while since iv'e posted anything. What the hell have i just made. It was supposed to be poetry. POETRY. About a monster. Or maybe a demon... whats it matter, some kind of creature. Don't ask me how it got to where it did. All i know is that it is more art than poetry now. Was thinking about not posting it because i don't usually share my poetry but i did.

I call it... A Journey Through Fonts

    Frame 1

    Frame 2

    Frame 3

    Frame 4

    Feels incomplete....

Thanks! That text journey thing was just me experimenting with making something using different fonts and i started typing the first thing that came to mind.

    NEW ART!

i haven't been making anything in a while. I just made this however due to a friends (Bulbasaur) request. I suppose if anyone wanted to make a request, even though there are other artists better than me, I would likely take the request.

LOL THAT BULBASAUR. I love its face. xDD I think you should probably include a little more detail such as the toes and claws, and also the darker green splotches. It's cute though. xD

LOL YOUR BACK!!! I haven't seen you on in like, forever! Thanks for the compliment!

I actually managed to completely forget about those details, once again because of my complete reliance on sprites as a base. This time i changed it slightly so its arm was up but the sprite was an old one from an older game because i liked the position for what i was doing. The sprite didn't have the spots or claws. But thanks lol. I cant seem to figure out how to make small images like that look sharp though. Its not particularly pixelated but i have seen much sharper on such a small image.

YES I AM!!! I have been gone for a while. xD But now I'm back. Huzzah! No worries. <3

Oh really? Lol fair enough. Yeah, it's the Red/Blue sprite, right? 8D I love that pose. xD The thing is, you have to see the sprites as a simple pose reference, rather than something to replicate in a larger form. Especially because a 56x56 pixels is a verrrrrry small space to work with and leaves practically no room for details. xD Well, ones accurate enough to be used as a reference. Especially back when they had no clue how to make pokemon sprites. lel.

As for the new ones, I like it. :D It's a pretty cool banner, although rather basic. The charizard needs some nostrils, and same with the garchomp. I also think it's a little out of place that the charizard's outlines are smooth, and the green colouring on the wings is jagged and obvious, if you know what I mean. I think some stronger shading would also be a good thing to experiment with, both on him and the garchomp. :] Nice though.

I just made something else. A banner for my signature. Instead of me posting it, just look in my signature. Not sure if my signature is too big now but i will try to check that.

Again thank you so much! About stronger shading, i have been trying to shade better but i cant seem to figure out how to shade any better. I must have shaded the charizard three times before i even got it to be where it is now. Also for some reason it never occurs to me to give my pokemon nostrils. And i intended to make that line smooth on the Charizards wing and completely forgot.

Anyway, i have decided to post a few photographs that i took. Trying to shrink them was annoying me so im not going to actually put them on the post, just the links to the image.

If my theory that everything looks better with color boosted is correct, this version of the above image should be better:

One thing would be to use much darker colours and be adventurous with shading. :] Don't be afraid to shade much darker than what you're doing. And about nostrils...well it's part of the pokemon's anatomy. xD Like a nose is part of the human body.

Nice photos. O: I agree that the more vibrant one looks better. I don't know why, but it just does, haha. I also like the scenery you photographed. :] It looks pretty neat.
