The Éire region: Discussion Hub

The professors usually study stuff that's a new feature in the games, so is there anything you guys think we are going to add that she could specialise in? Professor Juniper specialised in the Origin of pokemon so maybe go for something else? She could specialise in Pokemon Genetics, and we could introduce a new form of pokemon? Maybe Albino pokemon? Something rarer than Shiny pokemon. So she could specialise in how shinies and these pokemon appear.

The physiology and true nature of ghost types and their relation to fairy types. Honestly an irish region would have been the perfect time to introduce the Fairy type instead of Kalos. But to each their own.

We didn't really learn much in the Kalos region about this new strand of Pokemon genealogy so maybe a further investigation could be what our professor focuses on. Also breaking the norm would be cool. Ireland is ALL about the old ways, so maybe instead of focusing on the new, maybe we could focus on the old.

Obviously introduce new stuff, but focus on the old moreso.

So with that, would you say we would have a fairy-heavy generation to accompany the professor's studies? Theres still plenty of potential for the type and because it's only 2 generations old we can add as much as we want to it.
I think if we broaden out the speciality to either Pokemon Types or genetics with a main focus on the fairy type, that would be a really good idea. We could have some areas that are heavily fairy based that go with the Professor's studies and we could put that into the storyline that she wants us to go there to retrieve something for her. And with the broadened focus, we could have fun with some unusual types, alternate forms with different types and who knows what else

Not to mention we could possibly work fairy tales into the storyline, if you so chose--not just Irish inspired tales (although there are lots of those we could draw from) but all over the world.

Ok guys, the name poll has been closed, an with 5 votes out of 7, our region will be called 'The Éire Region'
I'll edit the thread for that and also create a number of threads and link them to the first post. (Hopefully it won't clutter the Art Section. :/ ) Sign ups for the taskforces will now be open, go to the taskforce threads and sign up if you wish. A pokemon concept thread will also be set up now.
Lets put this project into full force! :D

The taskforce threads and concept submission threads are up. Each Taskforce Thread contains a description of the goal and job of each taskforce, hopefully it explains what you would need to do if you were part of any. I also hope that they all have enough to do and are balanced so we can all have an equal part in it. Those threads will work as discussion between the taskforce and then this will be the main discussion thread that everyone will use to report back to, ask for feedback and also make sure everything is going well and everything is weaving together to create a solid region. Each Taskfroce thread's first post will be edited with important info everyone in that taskforce needs to know.
