My native tongue is American English. I took Spanish classes throughout middle and high school and currently live in a place with a very large Spanish-speaking population, but sadly I don't remember much of what I learned. I can enough read bits of Spanish to translate signs and labels, but I can't hold a conversation.

If I could choose another language to learn, though, I would love to take up either Russian or German.

I speak Amer. English natively, I can understand Tagalog or Filipino fairly well, as it's my parent's native language. I'm less knowledgeable in Spanish though I can generally piece together what's going on. Japanese, I can pick up a phrase or two and have a very basic speaking vocabulary. I'd like to become fluent in Japanese, so I can watch shows without waiting for subs lol. And I've always had a fascination for Italy, so Italian would be another logical choice for me. Other than that, as long as I can order a beer or scotch anywhere I go I'll be good XD.
