Chapter Three

One month has passed, and Eric's Shelgon is now a Salamence after some secret, rigorous training. Since the demise of Chaos Admin Mercury, Giovanni has grown wary of younger Trainers so he has recruited some agents to train a new Team Rocket. Meanwhile, Peggy had discovered a young Cubone whose mother was killed by Team Rocket. Eric took this Cubone in as his own Pokemon, but it is still too young and afraid to battle.

Mewtwo was also looking for some fresh blood to help in the rebellion against Team Rocket, but was not quite as successful as its arch nemesis.

"My comrades, I will look for new recruits. Your current mission is to guard the lair. And Eric.. Keep an eye on Cubone, make sure it doesn't get into any trouble." Mewtwo said.

"Bone! Cubone!" The Cubone muttered, looking for something to do. Peggy's Dedenne tried making friends, but Cubone was too depressed, and began to cry... A lot!

Eric rushed over to find Cubone sobbing over its dead mother, and attempted to comfort it.
"Look, Cubone, if it makes you feel any better, mate, I'm also an orphan because of Team Rocket, just like you. And so is Peggy. Wouldn't your mum want you to be strong for her and avenge her death? " Eric said calmly.

Cubone stopped crying, and bonked Eric on the head with its bone club.

"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!" Eric cried.

Arceus was up in heaven, and was trying to get the other legendary Pokemon to call them for the Centennial Council, where they get together and discuss our world's issues, once every hundred years. This time, they would be discussing the War against the Rockets.

Meanwhile, Mewtwo was looking for other orphans to join in on the rebellion, but none of them lost their parents to Team Rocket-related attacks, as Giovanni temporarily stopped their crime spree to train some fresh blood to replace Mercury.

Cubone was feeling a little better, and decided to look for a bite to eat. It found a can of Salamence's special food, used Bonemerang to break it, and ate every last bit.

Salamence was very angry, and let out a cry of rage.

Peggy noticed this and jumped in front of the Dragon Pokemon, and protected Cubone from a potential attack.

"It's OK, Salamence, we can always get more. Cubone just lost its mother, that's all. I promise, I'll make sure this doesn't happen again... EVER!" Peggy said, before scolding Cubone. "Cubone, that wasn't your food. You could get very sick from Salamence's food, y'know!"

When Mewtwo came back, the mess was all cleaned up, and Cubone was happy, and Salamence was a bit annoyed and bored, so it began flying around looking for any Rocket activity. Fortunately, there was none.

Eric was beating up a punching bag, and Peggy was playing with Dedenne. Eric's Poliwhirl was relaxing in the puddle, and found a Water Stone that Eric was originally saving, touched it, and became a Poliwrath!

"I could not find any orphans that were suitable for our cause." Mewtwo told Eric and Peggy. "Team Rocket's activity has died down, it does seem suspicious, and I fear Giovanni is scheming."
