    I think it's largely pointless, but I do like the extended evenings.

    Seems to be a lot of vitriol for something that's pretty much automatic these days? I do understand, however, that there is a lot of evidence to show that messing with our sleep/wake patterns even by one hour can do some damage.

    I don't have to deal with DST where I currently live. But most of my friends are in EST time zones, and being three hours behind them while Daylight Savings is in effect can be a bother... I don't like it. Even when I personally still lived in a state that was affected, I disliked losing an hour of sleep when I never got much to begin with.
