It's crazy how much about these games were different back then. Some of my favourites of the scrapped Pokémon are Tangela & Meowth's pre-evolutions, proto-Porygon2, proto-Blissey, the bell cats and Qwilfish's evolution are all designs I really like. I'm so glad they changed Delibird and Sneasel especially though, who looked a lot more like Mienfoo than Sneasel. I'm also really glad we got Azumarill, Togetic and Granbull as evolutions, but also that we got the rest of the Johto Pokémon, because I like a lot of the designs from the region, so I'd be upset if we never got a good chunk of them (40 official Johto Pokémon weren't present in the beta). :)

It's interesting that some of the concepts of scrapped Pokémon were revisited; the shark looked like it influenced Sharpego, Qwilfish's evolution shares a lot with Whiscash, and then there's the fact that Mime Jr., Tangrowth, Lickilicky and Leafeon are all redesigned to fit in with Generation IV, which is nice. I still wish we got Tangela's baby form though, it's just too cute. :3
