Time to rock out in Pokemon GO!

It is time for a rotation of the Legendary Raid bosses in Pokemon GO! Today featured a change of the raid bosses as Regirock has started to appear in raids! Regirock is the last of the Regi Golem Trio to be featured in raids. There is also a change in Raid Bosses and addition of new Special Research!
Regirock Raids

You can now expect to see Regirock replacing Registeel in Level 5 Raids. Regirock is the Rock member of the Regi Trio and can be tough. You could try to use Water types against Regirock. Though be warned! Regirock has access to Zap Cannon as one of his Charged moves. He will have plenty of defenses to take hits. Make sure you go against him using many strong attacks.
Pokemon.com recommend using Pokemon like Groudon and Venusaur with Frenzy Plant. Both of these Pokemon have powerful Ground and Grass attacks that will hit Regirock for super effective damage. They also resist most of Regirock’s attacks. Other strong Water, Ground and Steel types will do a great job against the Rock golem.
Other options against Regirock could be Fighting and Ground type Pokemon. Victreebel, Exeggutor, Sceptile, Shiftry, and Breloom will be fine choices to face down Regirock. Especially under the sun!
You have until September 20th to defeat and capture Regirock.
Change in Raid Bosses

There have been new Raid Bosses in Pokemon go with the advent of Regirock. These new Raid Bosses are beginning to look a lot like Sinnoh. That is because we have Pokemon like Tangela, Piloswine and Rhydon entering raids. All of these Pokemon are Pokemon who have gained evolutions in Generation 4. Below is a new list of Pokemon which can now be found in raids.
Tier 1: Magikarp, Makuhita, Meditite, Wailmer
Tier 2: Alolan Exeggutor, Kirlia, Roselia, Mawile
Tier 3: Alolan Raichu, Machamp, Tangela, Piloswine, Donphan
Tier 4: Alolan Marowak, Rhydon, Tyranitar, Absol
Kirlia, Roselia, Tangela, Piloswine and Rhydon all recieved new evolutions in Generation 4. Maybe this is a sign for things to come?
Overall, make sure to take advantage of these Pokemon being in raids!
