Things are getting spooky in Pokemon GO!
Halloween is coming and there is going to be plenty to do in Pokemon GO! That means the start of Pokemon GO Halloween!
This this year’s event includes many things such as double candy for catches! There is also plenty of spooky Pokemon, new Special Research, new raid bosses and new outfits in the Style Shop!
The Pokemon GO Halloween Event has now started and will end on November 1st.
Spooky New Pokemon

This year’s Halloween Event will allow you to capture plenty of Ghost and Dark type Pokemon. Trainers in Pokemon GO can also expect to get double Capture Candy when you catch any Pokemon.
The following Pokemon can be found with higher encounter rates during the Halloween Event: Gastly, Murkrow, Misdreavus, Sneasel, Houndour, Poochyena, Sableye, Shuppet, Banette, Duskull, Dusclops, Drifloon, Drifblim, Stucky and Skuntank.
You will also get to see the return of Witch Hat Pikachu.
Some of the new Pokemon from Sinnoh will be making their first appearance during the Halloween Event include Drifloon, Drifblim, Stucky and Skuntank. Those who are lucky could get the chance to capture a Shiny Drifloon and evolve it into Shiny Drifblim.
If you want a real treat as you are capturing Pokemon then worry not! This event has plenty of Pokemon that can potentially be Shiny. These Pokemon include: Houndour, Poochyena, Sableye, Shuppet, Banette, Duskull, Dusclops and Witch Hat Pikachu.
New Raid Bosses

There are new Raid Bosses that will give you chills! They are Giratina and Sharpedo!
Giratina will be haunting raids in Level 5 Raids. This will be the first time that Giratina will be introduce in Pokemon GO and is the first of the Gen 4 Legendaries to raid. Giratina will be hitting up raids in his Altered Form with moves such as Shadow Claw and Dragon Breath as Quick Moves. Charged Moves for Giratina include Dragon Claw, Ancient Power and Shadow Sneak.
It is interesting to note that Giratina is in his Altered Form and max CP will be 1931 CP with no weather boost and 2414 CP with a weather boost in foggy and windy weather. This may indicate that there could be a stronger Giratina in Origin Form waiting to come.
Giratina will be in Legendary Raid battles until November 20th.
Sharpedo will be in raids during the duration of the Halloween Event which ends on November 1st.
Spooky Special Research!

A new Special Research has been release! This special research involve a mysterious stone that Professor Willow has found. During this research, trainers will be catching plenty of Ghost and Dark type Pokemon. They will also be seeing the number 10, 8 and 108.
If trainers complete these special tasks then they will have the chances to capture Spiritomb!
Pokemon GO has confirmed that as long as you start the Spritomb Special Research during the Halloween Event then you will get the chance to capture Spiritomb. Once the event has ended then you will not be able to start the research.
New Outfits


There are new outfits in the Style Shop. All the new clothing items are for purchased.
Some of the new outfits include hats, shirts and a Gengar backpack.
