Quite possible this is still fake, but avoiding this at all costs just in case. xD

I think it has been confirm to be real by most people.

I have been told that this happens if you save near a taxi. A lot of the reports are mentioning at taxi in their description of the event. I guess Pokemon wasn't ready for cars in park just yet. It explains why the truck was taken out of the final game. Either that or it just proof that we can't trust taxi drivers.

I have not had any problems with saving in that city while playing X.

I passed through that city a while ago, on the very first night the game came out. I never even thought what would happen if you saved there. Luckily I didn't go through Lumiose City and then wanted to find a stopping point. I found the next route just ok. So I'm still wondering if this is real. Maybe I should attempt in the game I haven't advanced quite as far yet? That would be Pokémon Y.

Well, if it is real, that is the quickest and best way to get a fresh start! But I might as well wait until a little later just to do it and not just to do it, when I feel I really need to.

Yeah, i haven't experienced this at all, and i've saved in Luminose City quite a few times. Not sure weather it's a glitch that only occurs in pokemon Y or what the deal is. I posted this same topic on the X&Y thread, not knowing this thread was up, lol..

I first read about the glitch on a friends FB page, with something about Missingno being encountered (probably fake) in X version that knew Megahorn and was super effective against everything.

Woah! Usually Missingno was only on Red and Blue. Then they fixed it in Yellow. In fact, there is a guy that still glitches the first generation games as of recently. I'm trying to understand the cause of the glitch.
