Chatbox is so boring and so slow. I'd like it if everyone can IM each other. I already have a way of doing that. Maybe it's just best to be left on your forum.

Thought I'd put a close to this conversation. It's already a month or so old, and I thought I'd just say this:

Throughout my experience on various forums, chatboxes rarely, if ever work out. If you want to chat with other PXRers, you'd best either go to the DCC, or get a skype and chat there. Chatboxes have the tendency to utterly massacre overall activity on the forums, and as such I will vehemently oppose them to my grave. They're nice on forums that don't actually have an offtopic section, but really, that section doesn't get that much love as it is. You're better off making threads and creating conversations and whatnot there. This has the same effect as being on a chatbox anyway, except you're actually contributing to forum activity and your messages aren't sitting listlessly in a chatbox.
