So, looking through the signups, we have 2-Handed Tanks, a few mages, and lots of sneaky rogues ... bringing in a paladin-ish character!

    Name: Azahb El-Amin
    Race: Redguard
    Sub-Race: none
    Gender: Male
Appearance: Standing at 5'11 but with an athletic build, Azahb doesn't particularly stand out in a crowd, though in Skyrim his darker skin tends to stick out. Having acclimatized throughout his travels, he can comfortably pass through Skyrim without having to wrap up for too much extra heat. A yellow tatoo sits on the bridge of his nose and extends under his eyes, a reminder of one particular adventure to find a spiritual Guru in The Reach, be sure to ask him about the story some time. Generally when traveling he wears his armor at all times, though outisde of combat he wears the clichéd red turban associated with his homeland. He keeps his few possesions in a simple external-frame pack, allowing him to keep mobile. His dark black hair is kept relatively short, though two braids hang down, one from each side, another tradition from his hometown. From the Character Customization Menu
Skills: Light Armor, Block, Restoration, One-Handed, Enchanting, Speech, Smithing, Alchemy
    Main Inventory:
Armor: Scaled Armor (Set), Banded Iron Shield
    Weapons: Steel Mace, Steel Sword
    Various: Various Potions, Lute, Songbook
    Eligible Dragonborn: No
Hometown: A small township on the other side of the pass from Elinhir, in the Province of Hammerfell
    Factions: Bard's College
Personality: Initially friendly to strangers, he prefers to let a fight be settled before it even begins. He feels much more comfortable around "ordinary folk", preferring to stay in common company rather than the aristocratic nobility. He travels alone between cities looking for work, and tends to throw a cautious ear through the local taverns, willing to play a pretty tune for his pay or offer his services to those who can make use of his talents. Though people have asked if he's the monk or paladin of any particular order, he thinks of himself as a simple wanderer. Though the Companions' honor-bound morals pleases him, he's wary of the rumors of lycanthropy that he's heard, and though the merciful Stendarr also seems to be a worthy cause, the eradicative dogma of the Vigilants seemed too warlike for a merciful being. He's quick to speak out against injustice assuming doing so won't bring him direct harm, despite the relatively few jail sentences it's earned him. He doesn't keep too much of an eye on local politics, preferring to keep out of situations which support purely political or personal motivations. He prefers the company of others, though he's liable to drink too much if the evening goes on for too long. Despite this, it's not uncommon for him to take to the road alone to find his next destination.
History: Born and raised in a settlement just on the edge of the great Alik'r Desert in Hammerfell, Azahb's father was the first in a long line of nomads to finally settle down and embrace a different life from the monk's tradition which had claimed the family line for many years, after marrying the local priestess and healer, Azahb's mother. However, the wanderlust of his family was clear in Azahb's life, as he frequently spoke with whichever traders came through the settlement, whether they be Redguardian nomads having braved the journey through the Great Desert, or curious outsiders, usually having come through the mountain pass from Skyrim, and continuing inward from Elinhir to travel along the mountain ridge towards Dragonstar before trekking towards High Rock. However, his father was determined not to allow his son to uproot himself from a life of security, insisting that he stay. Azahb continued to train, learning the multitude of talents needed in the life of the frontiersman. Basic swordsmanship, the ability to use the shield, basic healing for common injuries, smithing for weapons repair, and the nuances of trading. He grew to be a promising young man, though his gaze always drifted to the horizon. With his father's hesitant blessing, he signed up to travel with a group of monks who passed through, only wanting to take one tour around the desert. However, when he returned, he was determined to wander further, this time through the mountain pass to see the great city of Elinhir, maybe to glance across the borders into the savage land of Skyrim. As the years passed, his travels went furhter and further, always accompanying some journeying group of pilgrims, some merchants seeking protection, some higher class aristocrat looking for entertainment. As he traveled, he learned to pay for his travels by picking up the bard's trade, staying in inn's on promise of music or stories. Having now roamed the length of the Alik'r Desert once more, he has just entered Skyrim again, preparing to enter Falkreath Hold and see what new events could capture his attention.
    Title Application: None
    Other/My Two Cents:
    Spoiler:
Things I'm looking for through the story? Preferably something relatively freeform, at best with as little to do with the vanilla storyline as possible (though this isn't inherently bad), and hopefully not too many dungeon-crawl related plotlines. Small groups starting in similar locations would work best with the large number of characters that seem to be running around.

Depending on how the "Multiple Thanes per Hold" situation goes, each group could belong to a different Hold, and at least start out competing for some common goal. Maybe a Lord of the Rings-style gathering of heroes for some quest? Marauding Orcs harnessing some (forgotten Dwemer?) power and spilling over the mountains into Markarth or into the plains of Whiterun would start enormous conflicts through Skyrim. Just throwing stuff against the wall.
