Brandon listened as Meg chewed him out over having so many Pokemon out at once. He wasn't happy about it, but understood why she was doing it. It would be best to blend in for now after the encounter they just had with those hot head trainers. He sighed and looked at Meg and said "Fine... I will stick to Skipper and Swampert, for now. But just until we leave the city, then it's back to my formation. My Pokemon deserve to get fresh air and not be cooped up in Pokeballs all day!"

With that he said goodbye to Arbok and Primeape, and promised to release them again the 1st chance he had. Then he pressed the buttons on their Pokeballs and in they went.

Meghan then decided they should start heading towards the gym, insisting that there is a healing machine in the gym. Brandon hoped she was right, or they stood no chance against the gym with their team weakened as they are.

Once they reached the gym, Meg messaged the others on their navs, telling them they had reached the gym and to meet them there. Alice and Rocky messaged back saying they were there and would check them in. Meghan then told him that once they heard from Kyo and Rose, they would go in to battle the gym.

Brandon nodded and said "Ok, sounds like a plan to me". Then he looked over at Skipper and Swampert and asked them "You ready to do this thing?" The Pokemon nodded and let out excited cries. Swampert seems especially excited to battle, since it will be his first battle in his new form.

Brandon was happy to see that his Pokemon were so eager to battle, despite being a bit tired from their battle with the hot heads. Brandon tapped his foot impatiently, his nerves getting the best of him, despite knowing he was ready and would beat this gym. He hoped Rose and Kyo would message soon so he could go in and battle the gym!

After a couple minutes, they finally got a message from Rose and Kyo saying they were on their way. Meghan said they could go into the gym now. Brandon released Primeape from his pokeball, intending to get him ready to fight. As he walked into the gym, however, a sign next the door read "No fighting types or fairy types. Only 4 Pokemon permitted in the 4 vs 4 battle and 5 Pokemon permitted on the 5 vs 5 battle".

Brandon looked at Primeape and said to him "Sorry buddy, looks like your going to have to sit this one out Primeape". The Primeape looked at the sign, disappointed and angry. He let out an annoyed "PRIMEE APE APE!" and shook his fist at the sign. Brandon rubbed the little fighting types head and tried to calm him down "I know your disappointed, trust me I am too, you would have done well at this gym. But rules are rules." The primeape looked up at it's trainer a little sad, but it also seem to understand. It pointed at it's Pokeball that was clipped to Brandon's belt, letting Brandon know he was ready to return to his ball. Brandon smiled at the little fighting type as he unclipped the ball and pressed the button. As the Pokemon started to disappear in a flash of light Brandon said to it "See you soon buddy, rest easy!".

Once Primeape was back in his ball, he clipped the ball back to his belt and looked around the gym. He noticed a counter by the wall where Nurse Joy and a healing machine stood. It seemed Meg was right, there was a healing machine in the gym. It was the first time Brandon had ever seen one in a gym, but he wasn't complaining. He temporarily called Skipper and Swampert back to their balls, so they could be healed. Then he walked over to Nurse Joy and handed all but Primeape's ball over to her. He smiled at her as she greeted him and placed his Pokemon on the machine. A few beeps and flashes later, she handed them back to him, all healed up.

He thanked her and then released Skipper, Swampert and Parasect from their Pokeballs, allowing them to stretch and talk a bit before the gym battle. He would have released Beedrill, but based on the ridiculous reaction people have of Beedrills around here, he figured it was best to keep him in the ball until it was time for him to fight.

He walked up to the gym leader Sloane, she was a tall woman, with black hair pulled back into a bun. She wore a white rope and had eyeliner and lipstick on. A Umbreon stood behind her, looking at him and then up the gym leader. As Meghan and the others entered the gym behind him, Sloane said "So you’re the infamous trainers I’ve heard so much about. Well, let’s see if your power lives up to your reputation." Brandon nodded at the gym leader and said "Yes indeed we are, and don't worry, I can assure you, you won't be disappointed!"

He looked to his Pokemon to see if they were ready, they each nodded at him to let him know they were ready to fight. Then Brandon looked back at Sloane and said "Alright, we're ready, let's do this! Out of respect, you may go first."

Sloane looked at him and said "Let the moonlight guide you, but don’t look too closely, otherwise the darkness will blind you." as she released a Sableye. Brandon wasn't sure what that meant, but either way he wanted to get this show on the road so he looked at Skipper and told him "Alright buddy, let's do this thing, your up first. Take care of that Sableye." Skipper nodded and stepped in front of the Sableye. After a few moments of eyeing each other up, it began!

Brandon finished his battle Sloane, he had soundly beaten the gym leader. Even so he bowed respectfully at her as he began to walk away so the others can battle.

Before he could anything though, he heard angry shouts about Beedrill and then what seemed like 50 White Rocket grunts stormed the gym. Skipper and Swampert immediately attempted to move in front of their trainer to protect him, but before they could, the white rockets hit with them an electrified net, knocking them both out instantly. Brandon tried to reach for Arbok and Primeape's Pokeball, but right as his hands reached the balls, he was with a dart.

The dart paralyzed him, making him unable to move. The head grunt, a real a**h***, came over and took away his pack, knife and remaining Pokemon. He started to go on about how he had violated the 'Swarm Act'. Brandon would have rolled his eyes if he could, but instead he settled with saying "Is this really nessecary for simply using one supposedly illegal Pokemon? All these grunts and equipment over the use of one Pokemon is a clear over reaction if you ask me. Also I just want to point out I am not even from this region, I am from Kalos, where Beedrill are common and I am simply visiting and doing some training. So I apologize for any misunderstanding, but you are grossly over reacting. My Beedrill is quite obedient, he will do whatever I say. He is completely harmless to anyone, yet you act like he attacked the city or something!"

Brandon wasn't really from Kalos, he was really from Sinnoh, but Meg had said they were from Kalos earlier when they encountered the hot heads in the forest, so he figured it would be best to stick to the original story.

When the grunt went on about him being the youngest person to be locked up in a max prison and about how there was a reward out for him and the president would be by personally to get him, Brandon was both astonished and angry.

He shouted out "What are earth are you talking about... surely the punishment for using illegal Pokemon is not prison time, and surely the president does not get involved for such a petty issue of someone using an illegal Beedrill. I don't know why your calling me a terrorist either, the only 'crime' I have committed is using my Beedrill, which while ridiculous in and of itself, I seriously doubt that qualifies as a terrorist act. So I think you either have the wrong guy, or are just plain nuts. At this point, either one is possible with you!"

The lead grunt continued to smirk at him as they moved to the van and chained him up. The guy acted quite proud, like he had won the lottery or something.

Brandon knew they thought he was one of the so called terrorists using their 'dead' faces, and that he was in deep trouble, but all he could was play dumb and deny doing anything but using an illegal Beedrill (which was true), and hope for the best.

Brandon tried to remain calm despite the circumstances, and he said out loud to the grunt "Mind telling me the meaning of this... I know you wouldn't waste all these resources for a simple case of use of an illegal Pokemon!"

Brandon was laughed at as they showed him the pictures of himself from Virdian Forest. Brandon studied the picture and said "Hmmm.... I can see where you could get him mixed up with me, he looks very similar indeed. But I can assure you I am not the kid in that picture, nor have I ever heard of him". It was hard to have to deny being himself, but he knew it was the best play he had!

Once they arrived at the prison, they pulled Brandon out of the van. The prison was much different, there were armed guards everywhere, even worse the guards Brandon had beaten up to get to his Pokemon, were waiting for him with some device.

Brandon gulped, he knew this was not going to go over well for him. He was right, the guards came over and put the device around his neck, explaining that if acted violent it would shock him. Yikes... just what he needed a torture device around his neck.

The guards taunted him, they punched him in the gut, as Brandon keeled over in pain, they pushed him to the ground, daring him to try and fight back. Brandon just laid there quietly and took it like a man though.

He remained silent, until he heard one of the guards say "Afterwords bring his pokemon to me. We are testing out a new device and his will work excellent for that test."

Brandon shouted out "No PLEASE... Don't hurt my Pokemon, do what you want with me, but leave them be! Whatever actions they performed, they did at my command and my orders. I take full responsibility for their actions. I am their trainer, they were listening to me, nothing more and nothing less. So punish me, do whatever you want to me, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not hurt my Pokemon." he begged and pleaded with the guards. He even put his hands in the begging gesture.

The thought of his Pokemon being tortured for his actions were unbearable, they did not deserve that! And while he knew deep down Skipper and Swampert would rather die then leave his side, he still didn't want them to suffer on his accord.

The guards picked him up off the ground and escorted him off into a dimly lit cell, with plexi glass and a bed with no blanket. As they escorted him, he said calmly "I want a lawyer... I know my rights, I know you are required to give me one if I ask." Then he sat quietly on the bed, trying to figure out what to do next and hoping his Pokemon weren't being harmed.

The guards cracked up laughing when he mentioned rights. As they guards left, Brandon shouted back at them "Last time I checked the constitution did not have any exceptions for 'terrorists'! I can sue you guys for this!"

The guards just kept walking, as they closed the door behind them, Brandon could hear people moving around in the dim cell. As his eyes adjusted to the dim light, he could make out the outline of two people sitting on a bed in the corner of the room. For lack of anything better to do, Brandon decided to approach the other prisoners. He cautiously and nervously walked up to the two prisoners, held out his hand and said "Hi there, my name is Brandon."

He was going to ask what their names were, but he didn't want to ask them any questions until he got a feel for who they were. They could after all be very dangerous criminals. Brandon looked at the prisoners nervously as he waited to see how they would react to his greeting.

After introducing himself to the person in the cell across from him, Brandon got a response from the woman saying "Hello Brandon, Im Celeste. Are you okay? Did they hurt you?"

Brandon replied "Nice to meet you Celeste, no they didn't really hurt me, just got a couple punches from a couple guards, nothing I can't take. I am not really worried about me though, I can take whatever punishment they can throw at me, what I am really worried about is my poor Pokemon. They said they were going to test some new device on them. I really hope they don't hurt or torture them, they are good Pokemon who go to great lengths to protect me. They don't deserve to be hurt or made to suffer because of me you know?"

Brandon didn't mean to say so much, but once he started talking he couldn't stop. It all just kind of spilled out. He hoped he hadn't said too much.

Celeste replied to him saying "I'm sorry to hear about your pokemon. I hope they arent doing anything to your pokemon or mine."

Brandon was about to reply that he hoped not either, when the other prisoner on the block chimed in saying in an aggressive tone "If they laid a single finger on my pokemon Im going to burn this building down!"

The floor also began to shake as Celeste pleaded for the prisoner to calm down. Moments later though, they could hear the crackle of electricity as a shock knocked him. Celeste then called him 'Red' and asked if he was ok.

Red... Brandon knew him! He had saved him and Rocky after the SS Anne had wrecked. He was a nice guy who seemed to be pretty powerful. Which explained why he was probably in here, it seemed the Rockets and President 'Garit' imprisoned anyone who either powerful enough to be able take them down or else who they felt might try to do so in the future. Red being here, could helpful if they decided to try and escape, since he was a very experienced trainer who also appeared to have some sort of powers.

Brandon shouted out "Red! Is that really you! It's me Brandon, you saved me and my friend Rocky after the SS Anne sunk! What are you doing here man?" After taking a moment to take a deep breath, he remembered Red had been shocked by the collar, so he added "Also are you ok?"
