Absolutely.

Spoiler:
Name: Nathan Cole
Age: 41
Gender: Male
Resident or Visitor: Resident
Occupation: Computer programmer/hacker

Appearance: Nathan isn't the type you'd ever think might be involved with computers or technological equipment. He stands 6'1", weighs roughly about 190 pounds, and has short blonde hair and blue eyes. Despite his profession and knowledge of computers and technology, he still gets plenty of exercise and maintains a strong muscular frame with the time he spends at the gym.

For clothing, Nathan wears a brown trenchcoat over a black t-shirt and blue jeans. At times, he'll also slip on a pair of aviator shades in sunlight or if he doesn't want anyone to realize he's looking at them.

While smart and strong, what Nathan lacks is often charisma, as most people perceive him as a mysterious stranger that may not be all that trustworthy. In any case, Nathan prefers to work alone anyway, as the number of people he trusts is extremely low. And in general, he finds most other people not reliable.

Personality: Nathan is quiet, often using only short sentences and only talking when he needs to. He spends a lot more time thinking and observing. His main profession has him working 7am to 4pm for a company called Anotech, which specializes in system security and information systems protection. As a result, Nathan has a lot of knowledge about the programming behind firewalls, system security, and what kinds of threats exist in technology.

And he also knows how to make those same threats work for him as well. With his attention to detail and his knowledge of six programming languages. He can be both a guardian and an infiltrator, a programmer and a pirate, and a protection officer and a hacker. It's all a matter of what the goal is and who the target is. And while his appearance doesn't paint him as an extra fun and friendly person, he can still blend in, disappear, and you'll never see him again.

Nathan hates the idea and use of Pokéballs. Any advocate for them is someone he'd like to throw into a windowless jail cell, which is what he perceives the devices to be like despite what the advocates like to say. Normally Nathan isn't the kind of man big on sympathy, empathy, and showing hospitality to every living creature big and small, but the presence of Pokéballs makes him question what the next step is in terms of control. Any person claiming to be a trainer but only uses their Pokémon for battling is someone he considers to be no better than some street thug who thinks a crowbar or a sledgehammer is only used for bashing heads.

History: Nathan, having been born in Unova before moving to Ryme city when he was only five, was mostly unlike other boys who enjoyed sports. He regarded them as stupid and pointless, and that if the idea was to work out and get exercise, just be direct and hit the gym. But the whole throwing or kicking a ball around for points and goals seemed without purpose. His younger brother, Logan, didn't care much for sports either, though more of his passion was in music. Nathan didn't have much to comment about that, as he always felt a career in any entertainment field was very risky considering his opinion that there is lack of real utility to anything in those fields.

An early controlling nature got him into computers at a young age, learning about hardware and software and how to manipulate them and make them do what he wanted. While often regarded as a "dorky" or "geeky" kind of thing to get into, Nathan paid no mind to comments like that, as talented scientists were often still called "lab rats" and other derogatory garbage. And yet, his knowledge and skill is often envied by the ignorant.

When Nathan was twelve years old, for his birthday, his mother encouraged him that he get a Pokémon partner, as just about every person in Ryme City had one. He initially tried to bond with a Growlithe, but the fire puppy Pokémon had no interest in being partners with him, and neither did the Machop that he tried after that. Months went by and for a while, he put the whole idea on hold, focusing on schoolwork before anything else. But on a walk home from school, he found a stray Minccino with his foot stuck in a storm drain hole. Feeling a bit sympathetic that the chinchilla Pokémon had simply stepped in the wrong place to no fault of his own, he lubricated the hole around the Minccino's foot with a hardware cleaning agent and was able to slide the Pokémon's foot free. While Nathan personally didn't think much of the act, the Minccino took it as Nathan saving his life and decided to follow him and become his partner. It seemed like the right and natural thing to do. In time, as he and Kano, his Minccino had gotten older, the question of if and when to evolve his partner came to mind, and he decided to get a Shiny Stone and let Kano choose for himself.

Having graduated in computer science from Ryme City University, Nathan was able to leverage his knowledge and skills in his new profession at Anotech, but ever since the recent events surrounding Ryme City politics and the new surfacing of this new, invasive population and ideals, he has developed a strong desire to put an end to the trend. He doesn't care what the rest of the world wants. To him, Ryme City was founded on human to Pokémon partnerships. Anyone who feels otherwise with their Pokéballs and their captive Pokémon can turn around and get the hell out. Until they do, however, Nathan has devoted more of his energy in driving out the invasive ideology. And he has found many ways to put his skills and knowledge into action for just that purpose.

He didn't start this war, but he intends on seeing it finished and he doesn't care just how ugly it might get.

Partner Pokemon/Pokemon Team: Cinccino (Named Kano)

Other: Nathan's knowledge on hardware and software runs quite deep. While having committed several computer crimes already, he knows how to infiltrate, do his work, and leave without leaving traces behind. Only some of the most seriously skilled computer experts would be able to find the breadcrumbs he might leave behind.
