To be a bit more detailed: we fail when the Black-the Oblivion Lord-dies horribly to those idiots, but as long as they don't have access to the Voidial Drydocks, where the Black resides...Well, they can't do it. Preventing that aside-we're also keeping some of the strongest forces in the world out of their hands, so even if they get INTO the Drydocks, we have an easier time holding them all off and stopping them. Figuring out where these Elder Soul guys came from is also a bit important, because apart from a scarce few, most just seemed to appear overnight with no explanation.

(Ecrivain-for your information on the matter, the Void destroys souls and the ethereal as well, and though immunity is possible, so you're out of luck if it happens. I REPEAT, THIS CONCERNS YOU.)
