...So, where's S2 gone off to this time? He's everywhere BUT here, I swear, and with Dark Writs purposely hunting us down with the explicit intention of killing us off directly...Ugh.

Well... Remember, I'm invulnerable to most attacks now, and I'm near-omniscient. I can tell when they'll be coming.

Consider who you're dealing with first before you come to that. You're only invulnerable to physical damage, not energy-based attacks like Magic and lasers. You're immune to regular water, smoke, wind, earth, and admittantly a LOT of other stuff, but my ice magic, RK's wind magic, and of course mental f***ery, are all definitely going to be ignored by the Bastion ring, just based off of the effects.

And most Dark Writs-3 of 4, counting myself-have attacks that go for the brain or use magic. Karma's a seductress so she's got a hefty dose of mind control, super-attraction, and a load of other stuff, and her forte is wind magic. Freedom's got midnf*** up the wazoo as well as some more general mental powers, and he's a mage, so he won't come for CQC-he'll just sling a load of fire at you. Image doesn't have mind manipulation directly like the other two but he's incredibly charismatic, and he typically shoots you with guns that channel his hyper-potent star magic. Heck, even I can cause you to go Ax-Crazy as the Dark Writ of Bloodlust, and you know I've got Ice magic as a specialty. I guess this is why there's a Diamond Ring: Not invulnerability, but much more resistance to both physical and energy-based attacks...

But good call on those rings. the ability to have any disguise and the ability to have omniscience is stuff we want out of their hands. They probably have ways of countering it, though...

And yeah, the Diamond Ring was probably the better choice. And it doesn't just increase defensive properties, it makes your body impossible to cause physical harm to, like beheading or severed limbs.
