*...OK, it looks like you are apparently, for whatever reason, facing down not just a giant space worm, but a fellow called 'Nidhogg.' Yes, named after that worm in Norse Mythos, yes. It's also apparent his invincibility is NOT an ability, but rather because it's just so ridiculously tough on its own, without magic or anything. It's skin is practically made of Orichalcum or something (don't take that literally). Even the insides are rock-hard, but they definitely take a downgrade in ridiculous toughness-in other words, a weak point you should try. The mouth-the only feasible weak point-is closed tightly as of right now, having topped off the ships you failed to blow up yourself.*

*Nidhogg's pores on its skin-large enough to be visible to the naked eye from a good distance-are firing some sort of acid at the ship as it passes. Energy shields take it for you, but those can't last forever. Get ready and buff up!*

Space worm, huh? Uh. Uh UH UH. Oh. I know. *SIVELOS uses TECH: SOVEREIGN'S SHIELD! SIVELOS's Defenses are temporarily maxed out! However, the buff will wear off in about a minute (not IRL)*

*The energy shield breaks and everyone but Silveos INSTANTLY goes down when hit with the acid, which is everyone. Silveos takes ridiculous damage from the salvo when it ends.*

Nidhogg: THE PRAY RESSSSSISSSSSTSSSSSSSS...THE PRAY MUSSSSSSSSSSSST NOT HARM NIDHOGG...NIDHOGG CAN WAIT...PATIENSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSE...

*Silveos then gets the idea to actually scan Nidhogg's level. When you do...You gasp. It's at cap level. Nobody on ship is NEAR cap level. Apparently the Author put in a Hopeless Boss fight, which I despise. It makes you wonder what the hell the other ships had packing to ward off Nidhogg that couldn't put a dent in your ships...*

WHAT THE ****, MY DEFENSES WERE MAXED. I SHOULD HAVE BEEN INVINCIBLE (for a minute, but hey). But since this is a hopeless boss battle...

*SIVELOS throws a RIDICULOUSLY DISTRACTING OBJECT slightly east-NIDHOGG-wards!*

*Maxed defenses does not mean invincible. It's as if you spent every point possible into defense up to this point-very tanky but hardly invincible.*

*Nidhogg is distracted by the object, which coincidentally goes towards one of the guns of the other ships that you thought of being useless later. The object triggers the gun, which...Nulls Nidhogg's defense to a manageable level, dealing adequate damage, despite hitting the skin. The gun apparently treats the defense of the oppositition as a set number rather than what it actually is, which, for an opponent like Nidhogg, is wonderful. It explains the armada's armaments perfectly-against enemies who's defense is about the same, their much weaker than usual, but against the max-defense Nidhogg, it's basically the best weapon you have. It's as if the Narrator hates Hopeless Boss fights to the point where he's tipping you off as to how to make it (possibly) NOT hopeless! Now, to actually get that gun and fire it...A lot...Also, possibly rez your teammates.*
