Normally, Nathan wouldn't let some other trainer's Pokémon advise him what to do, but it was easy to say things were definitely not going as he was anticipating. The prospect of being taken "someplace safe" made Nathan sigh and roll his Cinccino eyes when he knew this city like the back of his hand, and yet here was a newcomer tourist dragon thinking he knew better than the locals did.

He reminded himself to just keep acting like these trainer dragons were more capable. It was almost painful to the pride for him, but he figured best play along and ditch the Jangmo-o when the opportunity presented itself. After all, he knew these dragons that were new in town would likely get lost in two minutes and might even find themselves unintentionally right back where they started. But for now, he was watching, waiting, just yearning for that moment to break way and not have this scaly dragon chaperone him and Kano like some parent on a elementary school field trip.

"What were you thinking back there?" Kano quietly whispered to Nathan as they walked along. "I'm flattered you think my kind would really know how to handle one of those things!"

"Shhhh, I got ahead of myself, I know," Nathan whispered back to him, trying to keep out of earshot of the Jangmo-o. "We made it out alive, so let's forget about what happened."

Nathan then looked forward at the Jangmo-o, waiting for the dragon Pokémon to take one path down an alley while he and Kano would take another. When he saw a good moment for the two of them to give the dragon the slip, he took it and with Nathan leading, the two of them quickly dashed down another alley and through a completely different street. After heading down five blocks through alleyways, side streets, and narrow street enclosures, he was convinced the Jangmo-o wouldn't be able to find them and would only turn around to look when it was far too late and they had disappeared without a trace.

"So how many people and Pokémon do you think saw that?" Kano asked as they found a quiet place to stop before heading back home to Nathan's apartment.

Nathan's heart sank a bit.

"...Probably more than you think," he had difficulty saying.

"What does THAT mean?"

He really didn't want to spill the details, but he figured they probably weren't going home until he did. Besides, the last time Nathan tried lying, it only built things up to be worse and worse when the truth finally popped out.

"...The reporter there had a Hoppip with a news camera," Nathan swallowed hard. "It was recording the whole battle with the Pangoro and I had only noticed it was aiming that camera right at me after that whole taser gun incident went down. If that gets broadcasted on national television, and it probably will considering that was one of the worst rogue incidents to date and she was the only reporter on the scene the entire time, the whole country could potentially know about this."

Kano looked horrified. But only for a moment, up until he started laughing and Nathan wasn't sure if his own Cinccino was losing it and going mad or was taking the whole thing as a "sucks to be you" situation.

"If they find you," Kano giggled, just thinking about it, "they're going to think you're some prodigy Cinccino and they'll expect you to do all kinds of human-like tricks and antics for them. Maybe you'll become famous, but then you won't be able to change yourself back!"

"IF they find me," Nathan reminded him, trying not to imagine spending the rest of his life like this as a fluffy chinchilla Pokémon. "Right now they have no idea where I am or where I just ran off to. For all they know, you could be me, or I could be you, and I'm sure we're not the only Cinccino in this entire city. I wish them happy hunting, because I sure wouldn't try to pursue it in this huge metropolis even if I was the most curious person watching that whole episode. As long as I don't let that kind of slip-up happen again, I think I'll be fine."

Nathan then started heading home, with his Cinccino partner closely behind him.

"You'd really better hope so," Kano chuckled a bit as the humor softly died down. "Pray all you become is just a... what do you call them, con...con-seecy..."

"Conspiracy theory," Nathan sighed, rolling his eyes again. "Yes, that would be great. I've always wanted to have my fifteen minutes of fame amount to something like THAT."

It was more than enough to get Kano to starting laughing again.
