Yeah, hate to say it, but you guys need ingots, that's where you're running into trouble. And ingots can't be bought. You can buy the iron ore (which can be later combined into ingots once that feature gets unlocked), but until then, you'd have to find ingots straight up. Or have Brass (arnid's character) put his personal inventory ingots into the Team Inventory and then use them from there.

And yeah, sorry to say but Lillian wouldn't be able to help you with this either. There's nothing stopping her from buying the Adrenaline Orbs, though, but no dice on the dagger. Not yet, anyway.

(I'm running a check by Suicune's Fire to see if she's okay with unlocking combining materials now. I can't see why not, but until it gets unlocked, you'd have to find ingots straight-up from other sources as opposed to combining ores to make your own.)
